Apple has just published an update for its OS X iTunes app. The update, iTunes 11.1.5, is in theprocess of reaching users via the Mac App Store, and it fixes one particular bug while enhancingcompatibility with iBooks.

The release notes explain: "This update fixes a problem that may cause iTunes to quit unexpectedlywhen a device is connected," adding that iTunes 11.1.5 also "improves compatibility with iBooks onOS X Mavericks."

Apple's iTunes update comes following its recent release of OS X 10.9.2. This fixed a dangerous SSLvulnerability in OS X, while also promising to improve the Mail app, Safari, and VoiceOver.
