Conclusions
A new 2D material science and technology is emerging from the “graphene experience”. New 2D materials, such as TMDCs and phosphorene, have properties which are rather different the ones found in 3D materials. Artificial 3D heterostructures of 2D materials provide new opportunities which still remain unexplored. Computational science will play an important role in this exploration. Terra plana (2D) is a fertile terrain of open fields for growth and exploration !
Thank you !
