From: Jen Corbin Date: Sat, Apr 25, 2020 Subject: Thank you To: Trisha Wolford Chief, Wanted to reach out this morning and just say thank you. We are thankful at crisis to have the partnership that we do with fire. In the recent weeks there have been so many great things happening that I think you also need to know about these positive experiences. About 2 weeks ago Lt. Wilcox was filling in at Station 40 and was abso-lutely amazing during a very difficult call. Also, about 2 weeks ago we had a late call at Station 11 and the staff there were so supportive to my staff. Late and overnight calls are difficult so I appreciate the support. Last night we had an overnight at Station 12 and they were also great. Again, just wanted to say thanks to you and AA County Fire for the support and partnership. Sun, Apr 26, 2020 Allan Graves To: Trisha Wolford Chief Wolford, I want to express my gratitude for the kindness, caring and professional care that was provided to my father-in-law's wife on January 25, 2020. She was 90 years old and took a very bad fall striking her head and causing a laceration. The crew from Medic 40 quickly assessed, treated and transported her to Shock Trauma. My father-in-law is also in his upper 80's and walks with a cane. He was unhurt but understandably up-set. The crew arranged for the Fire Alarm Supervisor to notify me, they put him in the medic unit and transported him with his wife to Shock Trauma. This allowed us to reu-nite with him there. My father-in-law often comments on how well his wife and he were treated by the medic crew. The crew on Medic 40 was FF/PM Robert Jobst and FF/EMT Thomas Gohn. It was incident #202006026. Lt. John McDonough was the supervisor in Fire Alarm who notified me and kept me up to date on the status of the transport. This was greatly appreciated. Also, thank you for contacting me and extending the offer of assistance if I needed it. This is another example of the great job the members of this department do every day and why I am so proud to have been a part of it. Allan Allan C. From: Michelle Date: May 6, 2020 To: Trisha Wolford Subject: Heartfelt thank you Dear Chief Wolford - I am writing to thank you and Battalion Chief Chris Schaetzly and the mem-bers of the 3rd Battalion, D shift for making my friend’s 12th birthday so “quaren-special.” I told Jack and his family to be waiting outside for a special birthday surprise. I thought maybe the de-partment would just send along one fire truck to make some noise and wish Jack a happy birth-day. You guys went above and beyond sending one of every kind of vehicle you could get to pa-rade down the street with sirens blaring and waving at Jack. The gesture brought tears to his mom’s eyes and even I choked up watching video from Belgium. Jack was quoted yelling “Wow wow This is Crazy!” As it turned out, it was also the birthday of a young boy in the same neighbor-hood! He was also thrilled! Your department made the day so spe-cial for those two boys. Thank you so much for your service to the community. It is clear all of you serve not just in your professional duties but with your hearts! A birthday this family will never forget! Stay safe and THANK YOU!!
