The mother, who cares for her children

description

ISKCON Food Relief Foundation (IFRF) believes in providing children with the right nutrition to support their education. IFRF’s annamrita program is based on the belief that ‘you are what you eat’. Therefore one nutritious meal a day brings thousands of children to school. You can help every child in this country get an education, if you donate that one wholesome meal. Presently we cater over 12,00,000 meals everyday from our 20 kitchen centers across 8 states.

Testimonials

Page 24: Annamrita School Meal Program - Feeding and educating underprivileged children

"I think Annamrita is doing a wonderful job in

feeding the children of Aurangabad's Municipal

Schools. Most of these students come from very

poor homes and a hot afternoon meal acts as a

great incentive for attendance. There is enough

feedbacks from teachers, students and parents to

confirm that children love ISKCON khichdi and

often come to school just for the food. Along with

attendance, even the students' health is

improving."

Dr. Puroshottam Bhapkar,

Commissioner, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation

Testimonials

“Our decision to appoint Annamrita - ISKCON Food

Relief Foundation for the Midday meal program is

right. Annamrita is responsible for the increase in

attendance of students. Attendance of students has

increased due to excellent quality of Khichdi and other

food items. The attendance on Saturdays used to be

negligible. Now it has become maximum. I am sure,

next year the attendance of students will go further

up.”

Deputy Commissioner, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation
