The Bourne Of Supremacy is targeted at males, it’s mainly for people who love and are interested in action films. To feed the action film lovers, the poster is made appealing and eye catching by using a gun as one of the main image. The gun in the poster shows that its going to be about shooting and even killing. Also the writing at the top ‘They should have left him alone’, indicates that he’s dangerous or an assassin and leave a cliffhanger. For this film to be known and promoted they used the right actor ‘Matt Damon’ who is known in box office movie hits also known to be a good action actor.

Target Audience

The Bourne Supremacy is similar to the film Salt where the plot is that the FBI agents are after them for reasons that are mistaken. Both of the films try to hide their identity, on the poster of Salt they have a rhetorical question saying ‘Who is Salt’ which makes the audience drawn in and wanting to see the film. Without seeing the trailers for these films you can already tell they’re action films, because on the front cover they have used a man with a gun which automatically brings their targeted audience which is the males. Whereas in the front cover of SALT they have put a well-known female actor on the front cover with a question which gives a good impact on the audience. However this changes the target audience to both female & male to watch the film, whereas normally action films are aimed at males.
