Processional Hymn:

Praise, my soul, the King of Heaven;Author: Henry Francis Lyte (1793 - 1847)

Praise, my soul, the King of Heaven; To His feet Thy tribute bring!Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,Who like me His praise should sing?Praise Him! praise Him!Praise the everlasting King!

Praise Him for His grace and favour,To our fathers in distress!Praise Him still the same for ever,Slow to chide, and swift to bless!Praise Him! praise Him!Glorious in His faithfulness!

Father-like, He tends and spares us;Well our feeble frame He knows. In His hands He gently bears us,Rescues us from all our foes,Praise Him! praise Him!Widely as His mercy flows!

Hear the Word of God as it is written in the 3rd Chapter of The 1st King of Israel beginning from the 5th verse.

5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?”6 And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. 9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”’

10 The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, 12 behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.

The 2nd Epistle of Paul to The Romans 8:18-23

The Epistle is written in the 8th Chapter of the Epistle of Paul to the Romans beginning from the 18th verse.18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

The Gospel of Christ in Luke 11:1-13The Holy Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ As written in the 11th Chapter of the Gospel according to Saint Luke, beginning from the 1st verse.

All: Glory to you, Lord Christ.

Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say:Our Father in heaven,Hallowed be Your name.Your kingdom come.[b]Your will be doneOn earth as it is in heaven.3 Give us day by day our daily bread.4 And forgive us our sins,For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.And do not lead us into temptation,But deliver us from the evil one.”

5 And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; 7 and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? 8 I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs. 9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread[d] from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Lord, speak to me that I may speakAuthor: Frances R. Havergal

Lord, speak to me that I may speakIn living echoes of Thy tone;As Thou has sought, so let me seekThine erring children lost and lone.

O lead me, Lord, that I may leadThe wandering and the wavering feet;O feed me, Lord, that I may feedThy hungering ones with manna sweet.

O strengthen me, that while I standFirm on the rock, and strong in Thee,I may stretch out a loving handTo wrestlers with the troubled sea.

O fill me with Thy fullness, Lord,Until my very heart overflowIn kindling thought and glowing word,Thy love to tell, Thy praise to show..

Sermon theme: Faithfulness of God to those who trust in HIM (Deuteronomy 7:9). (Come into my life, Lord Jesus, Lyrics)

O use me, Lord, use even me,Just as Thou wilt, and when, and where,Until Thy blessed face I seeThy rest, Thy joy, Thy glory share Amen

Let us affirm our common faith in Jesus Christ by the word of Nicene Creed.

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in One Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation, He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incar-nate of the Virgin Mary And was made man.

THE NICENE CREED (Congregation stands)

For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered death and was buried. On the third day He rose again in accor-dance with the scriptures; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory, to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified; He has spoken through the proph-ets. We believe in one, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church; we acknowledge one baptism for the forgive-ness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Extempore prayersPresident: Christ is our peace, He has reconciled us to God; in one body by the cross. We meet in His name and share His peace. He then says:

The peace of the Lord be always with you. All: And also with you. President: Let us offer one another a sign of peace.

THE PREPARATION OF THE GIFTS

President: I wash my hands in innocence, O Lord, that I may go about Your altar and lift up the voice of

thanksgiving.

All: Amen.

President: Blessed are You, Lord God of all creation through Your goodness we have this bread to offer which the earth has given and human hands have made. It will become for us the Bread of Life.

All: Blessed be God for ever. Amen.

Blessed are You Lord God of all creation, through Your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of the vine and work of human hands. It shall become our spiritual drink.

All: Blessed be God forever. Amen.

All: Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

President:

Then the President takes the offering in his hands and says with the people:

Accept we pray you, O Lord these gifts which we here bring to you as the token of our love and gratitude; and grant that they may be so wisely used, that by them the work of your Church may be prospered and your kingdom enlarged; for the glory of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.

President:

President: The Lord be with you

All: And also with you.

President: Lift up your hearts.

All: We lift them to the Lord.

President: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

All: It is right to give Him thanks and praise

It is indeed right; it is our duty and joy at all times and in all places to give you thanks and praise Holy Father, Heavenly King, Almighty and Eternal God through Jesus Christ your only Son our Lord, for He is Your Living Word, through Him You have created all things from the beginning and formed us in Your own image. Through Him you have freed us from the slavery of sin, giving Him to be born as man and to die upon the cross; You raised Him from the dead and exalted Him to Your right hand on high, through Him You have sent upon us Your Holy and life giving Spirit, and made us a people for Your own possession.

President:

Who is One God, One Lord, not only one person, but Three Persons in One Substance. For that which we believe of the glory of the Father, the same we believe of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, without any difference of inequality. Therefore with Angels etc.

orAnd now we give thanks because You have revealed Your glory and of Your Son and of the Holy Spirit, three persons equal in majesty and undivided in splendour, yet one Lord, one God to be worshiped and adored. Therefore with Angels etc.

President: Therefore with angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven, we laud and magnify your glorious name; evermore praising you and saying:

All: Holy, Holy Holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory, Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

President:

All: Hosanna in the highestPage 20 of 34

Accept our praises, Heavenly Father, through Your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ; and as we follow His example and obey His command, grant that by the power of Your Holy Spirit these gifts of bread and wine may be to us, His Body and Blood; Who in the same night that he was betrayed took bread and gave You thanks; He broke it and gave it to His disciples, saying: “Take, eat; this is My Body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, after supper, He took the cup and gave you thanks. He gave it to them, saying: “ Drink this, all of you; this is My Blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me”.

President:

All: Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith:

Christ has died,Christ is risen;Christ will come again.

Therefore, Heavenly Father we remember His offering of Himself made once for all upon the cross; and proclaim His mighty resurrection and glorious ascension. As we look for His coming in glory, we celebrate with this bread and this cup His one perfect sacrifice.President continues

Accept through Him our great High Priest this our sacrifice of thanks and praise and as we eat and drink these holy gifts in the presence of Your Divine Majesty renew us by Your Spirit, inspire us with your love, and unite us in the Body of Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart Dallán Forgaill (c. 530 - 598)

Be Thou my Wisdom, Thou my true Word;I ever with Thee, Thou with me, Lord;Thou my great Father, I thy true son;Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle-shield, sword for my fight, Be Thou my dignity, Thou my delight.Thou my soul's shelter, Thou my high tower. Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise,Thou mine inheritance, now and always:Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,High King of heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of heaven, my victory won,May I reach heaven's joys, O bright heav'ns Son!Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,Still be my vision, O ruler of all. Amen

Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side;Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;Leave to thy God to order and provide; In every change He faithful will remain.Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heavenly, FriendThrough thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul; thy God doth undertakeTo guide the future as He has the past.Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last.Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still knowHis voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.

Be still, my soul; the hour is hastening onWhen we shall be forever with the Lord,When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored.Be still, my soul; when change and tears are past,All safe and blessed we shall meet at last. Amen

Post Communion Sentence: The steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children. Psalm 103:17

God is with us, God is with us, So our brave forefathers sang, Far across the field of battle Loud their holy war cry rang; Though at times they feared and faltered, Never once they ceased to sing: God is with us, God is with us, Christ our Lord shall reign as King! God is with us, God is with us, Christ our Lord shall reign as King! Amen

President:

As our Saviour taught us so we pray.

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are Yours now and forever. Amen.

Father of all we give You thanks and praise, that when we were still far off You met us in Your Son and brought us home. Dying and living He declared Your love, gave us grace, and opened the gate of glory. May we who share Christ’s Body live His risen life. We who drink His cup, bring life to others. We whom the Spirit lights give light to the world. Keep us firm in the hope You have set before us.

God is working his purpose out

Author: Arthur Campbell Ainger (1841 - 1919)

Recessional Hymn:

God is working His purpose out As year succeeds to year;God is working his purpose out, And the time is drawing near; Nearer and nearer draws the time, The time that shall surely be, When the earth shall be filled With the glory of GodAs the waters cover the sea.

From utmost east to utmost west, Where'er man's foot hath trod, By the mouth of many messengers Goes forth the voice of God:'Give ear to Me, ye continents, Ye isles, give ear to Me,'That the earth may be filled With the glory of GodAs the waters cover the sea.

What can we do to work God's work,To prosper and increaseThe brotherhood of all mankind,The reign of the Prince of Peace? What can we do to hasten the time,The time that shall surely be,When the earth shall be filledWith the glory of GodAs the waters cover the sea.

March we forth in the strength of God,With the banner of Christ unfurled,That the light of the glorious Gospel of truthMay shine throughout the world;Fight we the fight with sorrow and sinTo set their captives free,That the earth may be filledWith the glory of GodAs the waters cover the sea.

Go in the peace of Christ. All: Thanks be to God.

All we can do is nothing worthUnless God blesses the deed;Vainly we hope for the harvest-tideTill God gives life to the seed;Yet near and nearer draws the time,The time that shall surely be,When the earth shall be filledWith the glory of GodAs the waters cover the sea. Amen
