Analysis of 2 webistes

This is the 1st page the audience is brought to, it is a promotional page for his new album FUTURE HSITORY. This adds to the sales of his album but also makes the audience aware of his new material. This page also contains a link to the ITunes store where it can be purchased and also ‘like’ button on facebook so that the audience can get extra information about the song.

This is the websites main page, it allows the user to browse information about Jason Derulo, view latest news and many other things. Also it allows the user to feel apart of him, with the exclusive content if you join. Also from the main page, photos videos and tour dates can be accessed, which adds to the star image and potential sales. And lastly a key part of the website would be the store link. Which sends the audience to a page where customers can purchase products such as t-shirts and bags.

The second website I looked at was for the band Slipnot. They are in the Screamo/Emo genre of music and you can tell this by the way they have set out there website. The theme is dark with gory colors such as dark red. The main image in the background is of the band members and changes every 4seconds to a new image. It is more of a simple layout with less promotional aspects involves and more aimed at there target audience. Like Jason derulos website there is links to parts of the website that allows for extra content to be added such as photos videos and a shop.

This is the gallery page, this allows the user to look through the selection of pictures the website have posted of the band. The background has changed but still keeping with the star image theme of the band.

Again similar to Jason derulo the website has a shop link, which promotes the sale of products and help to promote the band.
