Paintings by Jerry Segal: Where Stars Are Born and Infinity Imagined includes recentpaintings by Segal representing the cosmos in the far reaches of the solar system.Casting aside paintbrushes, he works the paint though these compositions with his hands.

Segal began painting star formations in 2007. The limitlessness and abstract natureof the cosmos remains a lure for him. A scientific instrument, Hubble SpaceTelescope discoveries have made significant contributions to astronomy. Anexpressive medium providing Segal with exciting possibilities, the pictures evokeremote landscapes, trippy other-worlds or abstract compositions. His mesmerizingpaintings likewise spur curiosity about the nature of human existence within thegrand scheme of the universe.
