proper method/approach to evaluating good faith efforts. Participants will discuss both

associated challenges/issues. Participants will take part in an interactive case study and

review of the establishment of collaborative initiatives such as the Government
Procurement Compliance Forum and the Procurement Reform Task Force. The
presentation will include a review of the Report of Findings of the Procurement Reform
Task Force, including the 31 recommendations for change to make contract
management and procurement more uniform, efficient and cost-effective, while also
increasing accountability. The results of these efforts will have significant impacts to our
M/W/DBE community.

used to explain how policy-makers, corporate leaders, government leaders, legislators

Utilizing the federal ACDBE and DBE regulations, an interactive exercise, and years of
ACDBE and DBE expertise and experience, attendees will learn how to analyze, evaluate,
and process ACDBE and DBE certification applications which may be considered difficult.
The attendee will be able to understand the differences between certification site visits
and commercially useful function reviews and identify objectives needed to conduct an

Participants will engage in a 30 minute guided experience with a naturalist. They will
explore the diverse habitats of the LRSH on a 30 minute walk and encounter an animal
up close. Participants will conclude the event at LRSH by viewing a 30 minute
presentation inside the nature center.
