THE MAYFLOWER COMPACT

The first foundation of America was outlined by the Plymouth colony in the mayflower compact which was written on November 21, 1620. It said in God we established self- governing colony here in Virginia. A covenant in the presence of God.Our words in the flag salute refer to this first foundation, “One nation under God”.

THE ENLIGHTENMENT

The government has a responsibility to it’s citizens to uphold their rights and to keep the country safe.Individuals have freedom and fair elections for citizens rights.

SOLVING PROBLEMS

Problems in our community are solved by groups of people who are part of the community. A private business will work with city government to improve the community. Knowledge and rational thinking, the law and logic is used to solve problems.

CAPITALISM

The freedom to trade goods and services for money is an economic way to prosper and to go ahead and be successful.

The privately owned businesses and private households buy and sell to each other to control the economy.

Opposite capitalism is central planning where the government controls the economy.

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

The belief that humans can better understand the system of our world with the use of logic, reason and the advancement of technology .They have better understanding of our earth and solar system through the advancement in space exploration, medical issues, engineering, manufacturing, communication, education, agriculture and solving problems.
