Amadeus Flex Pricer is a very comprehensive faring solution. It covers all an airline’s needs, providing a full calendar with up-sell panels, offering the cheapest available fare for each flight, supporting all types of domestic and international fares. Amadeus Flex Pricer provides airlines the capability to display a significant calendar in the most flexible way, with up to a 15x15 matrix or 225 fare cells in the Itinerary mode. It also includes an up-sell interface, which proves to be very efficient to increase yield.
Fare Rationalisation into Fare Families
To succeed online, traditional airlines need to go through a fare
simplification process in order to remain competitive. Some airlines
often end up with thousands of different fares which cannot be sold
online, as the relative value of one fare with respect to another is
often too hard to communicate to the customer.
The Fare Family concept allows a full rationalisation of fares into
a group of fares that can be sold online. It works by grouping
fares with similar sets of conditions (cancelable or changeable
reservation, refundable fare or not, child, youth, etc). The fare then
becomes a marketable product which can more easily be sold.
These Fare Families can also be differentiated with respect to the
geographical market they are sold within. This differentiated set
of Fare Families per geographic region are called Commercial Fare
Families.
