IntroductionTheAM-GL300isanassettrackingdevicedesignedtotrackpeople,vehicles,andotherassets.Withacompactbodyandsuperiorreceivingcapabilities,theAM-GL300isaninconspicuous,yetpowerfultrackingsolutiononlyslightlylargerthanamatchbox.
TheAM-GL300hasfeaturessuchasfastTTFF(TimetoFirstFix),QuadBandGSMfrequencies(850/900/1800/190),@Trackprotocolbasedintegration,GPRS/GSMbasedreporting,geo-fencing,andotherfeaturestoensurerobusttrackingcapabilities.

ChargingtheDeviceTochargetheAM-GL300,lifttheflapcoveringthechargingpostandplugthechargercableendintotheunitviatheUSBport,thenplugthechargerintoawalloutlet.
ThebatteryLEDlightonthefrontoftheGPStrackerwillholdaconstantredlightwhencharging,andtheLEDinthecenterwillblinkgreenperiodicallytoindicatethatitstillhaspower.IfthebatteryLEDflashesred,thatmeansthebatterylevelislow,andtheGPStrackershouldbecharged.
AM-GL300PowerOn/OffToturnthedeviceon,pressthePowerbuttononthetopofthedeviceonce.Asthedeviceobtainsacellularsignal,themiddleLEDwillbeginblinkingandwillstartrelayinglocationdata.Toturnoffthedevice,pressandholdthePowerbuttononthetopofthedevice.Theleft-mostLEDlightonthedeviceisflashingblue,yourtrackeristryingtolocateacellularsignaloverwhichtosenddata.

ActivatingtheDeviceAfterpurchasingthedevice,youmustpurchaseamonthlyserviceplanthatallowsthedevicetosendyourdatatoyourAmcrestaccount.Youcanactivateyourdeviceandserviceplanathttp://www.amcrest.com/gps-activation.Ifyouchoosetobuyaseconddevice,fillouttheactivationformandbesuretoselect‘ADDTOEXISTINGACCOUNT’underActivationType.

ThistabshowsthelastknownlocationoftheGPStracker,aswellasallowsforuseofmanydifferentmaptools.Themaptabconsistsof3maincontrolareas:
1. DeviceList–Thissectionshowsallofthedevicesassociatedwithyouraccount.Usethearrowbuttonsinthetoprightofthissectiontoviewmoreinformationaboutthecurrentstatusofthedevice,suchasrawlatitudelongitudeandIMEInumber.
2. LastKnownLocation–ThisareashowsonthemapwheretheGPStrackerlastreporteditslocationalongwithinformationaboutspeed,motionstatus,date/timestampandbatteryinformation.
3. MapTools–ThisareashowsthedifferentmaptoolsthattheGPStrackercanuse.Fromtoptobottom:
Zoominandzoomoutofthemap
Topiconopensgeofencecreationtool.Bottomiconenablesmeasuringthedistancebetweentwopoints.
Opensmapsettingsmenu,whichallowstheusertochangethingssuchasmapsourceandoverlaydisplays.

Thistabshowsthedifferentassetsassociatedwiththisaccount,anddisplaysinformationabouteachdevice.
Telemetry-Showstelemetrydatafromthetrackerinapop-upwindow.Thoughitmayseemconfusing,thetelemetryupdatecontainsalloftheunprocesseddatatransmittedfromthedevicetothebackendservers.Thisinformationincludesthelatitude/longitudecoordinates,timestamps,batteryinformationdeviceinputsfromeveryupdatesentbyyourAM-GL300.
RecentAlerts–Recentlytriggeredalertswillbedisplayedhere.Thealerthistoryherecanbefilteredbyalertpriority.

ZonesTab
Thistaballowstheusertocreateandmanagezones(geo-fences).Beforeyoucreateazone,youmustfirstcreateazonegroup.Youcancreateazonegroupbyclickingthe‘ManageZoneGroups’button,thenclickingNewGroup.Namethegroup,thenclickenter.
Thereare3differenttypesofzones:
No-GoZone–Thesezonescantriggeranalarmifthetrackerisdetectedwithinitsboundaries.
Keep-InZone–Thesezonescantriggeranalarmifthetrackerisdetectedoutsideitsboundaries.
LocationZone–Thesezonessimplymarkaspecificlocationonamapandthatdesignated
Tocreateazone,clicktheCreateZonebuttonatthetopofthepageandselectwhichtypeofzoneyou’dliketocreate.Clickdifferentpointsonthemaptocreateashape,thenforthelastpoint,doubleclicktoclosethezone.Oncethezoneisclosed,nameit,ensurethetypeiscorrect,selectazonegroup,thenclickSave.Toaccessmorezonesettings,clickAdvanced.
