Matthew 6:19-24 (NIV) 19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth
and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust
do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are bad, your whole
body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 "No one can serve two
masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve
both God and Money.
1. WHERE DOES YOUR SECURITY LIE?
Matthew 6:19-21 (NIV) 19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves
treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be
also.
Luke 8:1-3 (NIV) 1 After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the
kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; 3 Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod's household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them
out of their own means.
1 Timothy 5:8 (NIV) 8 If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and
especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
1 Timothy 6:17 (NIV) 17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God,
who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
3. WHO DO YOU SERVE? Matthew 6:24 (NIV)
24 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God & Money.
Matthew 6:24 (NKJV) 24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the
one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
1 Timothy 6:6 (NIV) 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
‘Money is like manure. It’s not good unless it is spread around.’
(Francis Bacon)

1 Kings 18:21 (NIV) 21 Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him." But
the people said nothing.
