Good morning members of the tribunal. My name is David Almansa Gmez and I am a student of the escuela superior de arte in Murcia. I am doing an illustration grade. Today I have come to talk about an illustrator called Ben Tallon.2

He was born in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Passionate about creativity, Ben has even burnt the end of a wine cork in order to draw with it. Today, hes located in Bermondsey, London, but has previously had studios in Preston and Manchester.3

Training

Ben has a BTEC in Graphic Design from Keighley College, and a BA in Illustration from the University of Central Lancashire.4

Approach

Pens, inks, brushes, found materials and textures, acrylics, spray paint, pastels, wax and coloured pencils5

Style

Ben is able to draw anything at all. He has an organic style and uses Photoshop to layer together the elements he create. Drawings, marks and textures come together to form a complete image.6
