    WATSON, an outside/middle hitter, led Auburn to its first VHSL Group A Division 1 state titleas the Eagles won every postseason match 3-0. A two-time Region C player of the year, shehad 369 kills, 59 blocks and 261 digs this season. During a four year career, Watson seta VHSL record with 1,380 kills and added 353 career blocks. The 6-foot-1 Watson paced a27-3 team that did not lose to a Group A opponent. She signed to play for Radford University.

    CAROLINE BOONE | HIDDEN VALLEY | Outside hitter | Senior

    Region IV player of the year led the Titans to Group AA runner-u p finish with five-gameloss to Loudoun County in the final. Finished with 1,007 career kills including 329 thisyear. Had 31 blocks, 69 aces, 92 percent serving, and 62 digs. Signed with FrancisMarion.

    CAROLINE BRAILSFORD | PATRICK HENRY | Setter | Senior

    Northwest Region player of the year Finished 2012 with 723 assists 160 kills, 45 blocks,191 digs, and 84 aces. Delivered 40 assists as PH won its first regional title in the currentpostseason format in a five-game epic at previously undefeated Albemarle.

    JENNY CLARK | HIDDEN VALLEY | Outside hitter | Senior

    A versatile player and a big reason the Titans swept to River Ridge District and Region IVchampionships and were Group AA runners-up. Swatted 183 kills with 2.1 passing, 79 aces,95 percent serving, and 236 digs. First team all district and all region.

    MAIRIN GUILFOYLE | ROANOKE CATHOLIC | Outside hitter/Middle hitter | Senior

    Led Catholic to back-to-back VIS Division III titles. Hammered 15 kills as the Celtics blitzedHampton Christian in the final. Finished with 337 kills this season en route to 1,011 for hercareer. Her 85 aces came with a 90.1 service percentage. Added 33 blocks.

    ALYSSA McKINLEY | CAVE SPRING | Outside hitter | Senior

    Set school single-season records with 108 aces and 304 service points. Had 90.4 servicepercentage, 243 Kills and 31 blocks. Had 12 kills and eight aces as the Knights stoppedpreviously undefeated Patrick County in Region IV semis to qualify for state again.

    SARAH MILLER | PATRICK HENRY | Outside hitter | Senior

    Shared Western Valley District player of the year honors with teammate Caroline Brailsford. First-team All-Northwest Region. Her combination of accuracy and power led to 401 kills,188 digs, and 30 aces. Crunched 26 kills in regional final vs. Albemarle.

    CARLA POFF | Hidden Valley

    Poff orchestrated the Titans Group AA runner-up campaign as Hidden Valley swept

    four matches against rival Cave Spring and finished 29-5. Besides the Titans loss in five

    games to Loudoun County in the state final, they lost three matches to West Virginia

    teams and a best-of-three match to Group AAA champion Floyd Kellam. Poff has coached

    Hidden Valley to the Group AA tournament each of the last five years with two second-

    place finishes.
