Apparao Galleries has had the distinction of exhibiting Indian artists in cities across the globe. The gallery has carved a niche across India for its keen sense of aesthetics and sharp nose for "New Trends”.I assisted in acquiring and contacting designers for their upcoming art jewelry show, first of it’s kind in India; Researched new themes and artists for future shows and executed administrative work regarding the artists and the jewelry show.

A wearable technology start up consisting of young innovative minds in their twenties. I Was the Jewelry consultant for the Industrial Design team on helping innovate, design, and modify the appearance of their wearable health tracking prod-uct.

Tanishq pioneered the concept of branded jewelry and ornaments in India. Conducted research and created presentation for initial inspiration possibilities for future collections. Visited factory for a week and studied entire jewelry manufacturing process from start to finish.

Community Service

Hand-in-hand, India October 2008Co-leader, ICT Program Development

Developed an improved program to better train rural women to use computers. Hand-in-hand is a leading multi-national NGO (non-government organization) in South India. Collected data on needs from rural women, tabulated statistics, iden-tified key problems and co-developed a program that was easy to use and directly useful. I presented along with the Co-leader, a detailed written report.

Study on Conventional/ Organic Agriculture, Andhra Pradesh & Punjab, India Oct – Dec 2008Volunteer

Presented a report on actions to be taken at a government level, and at a personal level to alleviate farmers’ woes through organic farming versus ‘conventional’ farming. Interacted with the farmers and their families and learnt about the effects of using inorganic substances on their crops. Interacted with organic farmers as well and saw how the crisis can be alleviated.

School for Hearing and Speaking Impaired, India June – Aug 2007Volunteer

Assigned as help for middle and junior school classes. Initiated craft classes for the children for the first time, as I discov-ered the school provided only minimal extra-curricular activities for them.
