•Section the hair into triangles. The quantity and size of the triangles depends on the lightening result you want to create. Here we see three triangles in front - the centre is the shorter layers around the face, the two side triangles contain he hair that

make up the longer layers around the face. (pict. 1)

•Rearge triangle is taken around the crown of the head. The remaining hair is spilt into triangles of equal size. You could work with a combination of different sized triangles to create

different lightening in different areas of the hair. More, smaller triangles will give a lighter result, while less, larger triangles give a softer lightening effect. (pict. 2 - 3)

•Release one triangle and apply a generous quantity of Rigen Nourishing Cream to the root area. Apply the inside the triangle section, both to the roots and the mid-lengths of the hair. Apply to different points of the mind-lengths to create an

uneven stopping point. This will give us a more blended natural looking color result. (pict. 4)

•Mix in a bowl Supermeches+ High Lift with Oxid’o Alfaparf Milano 20 Vol, diluition ratio 1:2. Apply the bleaching mixture starting at the ends. Apply a generous quantity of the product to the very ends of the hair and massage into the hair to make sure that the product penetrates into all of the hair at the tips. Continue the application working up the hair shaft. (pict. 5)

•Once the outside of the triangle section is coated, twist the hair tightly. This will force the product to penetrate into and up the hair shaft. Twisting the hair pushes the product up the hair shaft and distributes the bleaching mixture in a diffuse manner through the section. If there is a lot of dark hair visible after twisting, coat the twisted hair with more bleaching mixture and twist again to spread the additional product. (pict. 6)

•Repeat the same application to the next triangle across. Before starting on a new section, wipe your gloves clean on a towel or tissue to maintain a clean applicatio.

•As we work up the head, apply Rigen Nourishing Cream less far down the hair shaft. Remember as you work each section to stop the cream application at a different place on the length if the hair to help to create a gently blended result. (pict. 7)

•Continue the bleaching mixture application in the same way. Concentrate on the ends and then the exterior of the triangle, finally twisting the section to distribute the product.

•The front triangles by the face contain the hair that is most susceptible to natural lightening. These are some of the lightest areas. Apply less Rigen Nourishing Cream at the front of the triangle and more at the back to mimic this sun-kissed effect. (pict. 8)

•The centre top section is the shortest hair. Here, pay attention that your application of Rigen Nourishing Cream and the bleaching mixture works proportionally with the whole application. (pict. 9)

•Process until the desired amount of lightening is achieved. (pict. 10)

The finished result shows darker roots, moving softly into light ends.

•Mix in a bowl Evolution of The Color3 5.5 with Oxid’o Alfaparf Milano 10 Vol, diluition ratio 1:1,5. Apply the chosen basic color all over the hair from roots to ends. (pict. 1)

•After applying the basic color, comb the hair into the place of the final styling. (pict. 2)

•Mix in a bowl Supermeches+ High Lift with Oxid’o Alfaparf Milano 20 Vol, diluition ratio 1:2.

•Choose an area where you wish to see a lighter effect on the mid-lengths and ends. Pick up the hair in a V-shaped section, narrow at the sides and deeper in the centre. Start to paint the bleaching mixture onto the section. Work in a V shape so that the application is thinner at the edges of the section and becomes denser in the centre of the section. (pict. 3-4)

•Choose another place on the head where you want to see an area of lightness and repeat the same sectioning and application technique. (pict. 5)

•Repeat the application on the opposite front side of the head. Here we selected two V shaped sections at the back of the head and one for each side. (pict. 6-7)

•Develop the color for 35 minutes and shampoo.

The finished result shows a lightening effect where the tones harmonise perfectly together.

•Create a narrow oval section around the parting (A). This hair acts as a veil. A smaller oval section will expose more color, a larger oval section will conceal more color. Take curved triangular sections beneath the oval section (B and C).The triangles should be roughly 2cm behind the front hairline. (pict. 1)

•Mix in a bowl Supermeches+ Fast with Oxid’o Alfaparf Milano 20 Vol, diluition ratio 1:2. Mix in a bowl Evolution of the Color3 5.22 with Oxid’o Alfaparf Milano 20 Vol, diluition ratio 1:1,5.

On the first triangular section, start taking vertical subsections roughly 1cm wide - for a more subtle result use narrower sections. Color section 1 using the bleaching mixture. Paint the color about 1cm away from the roots. (pict. 2)

•Take a second 1cm vertical section. Color this section using the color mix roughly 1cm away from the root. (pict. 3)

•Continue in this way to the back of the section, taking 1cm vertical sections and alternating between the two different colors. (pict. 4)

•Repeat the same application on the triangle section on the opposite side of the head. (pict. 5-6)

•When the triangle application is finished, apply the base color to the rest of the hair. Mix in a bowl Evolution of the Color3 5.14 with Oxid’o Alfaparf Milano 10 Vol, diluition ratio 1:1,5. Start in the top centre

section. Apply the color mix from roots to ends. (pict. 7)

•Make sure to apply the base color between the foils to color the roots of the colored sections. (pict. 8)

•Once the base color has been applied throughout the hair, allow the color to process for 35 minutes. (pict. 9)

The finished effect gives glimmers of color in the movement of the hair. A perfect technique to create interest in a 1-length bob shape without detracting from the sleekness of the overall look.

•Apply a thick layer of Rigen Nourishing Cream to the surface of the hair to create a barrier. Paint the product onto the hair in the same direction as the fall of the hair in the finished styling. Apply the Rigen Nourishing Cream most thickly at the top of the hair, with a thinner application towards to ends. (pict. 1)

•Use the end teeth of a comb to draw linear openings in the hair. The openings will be stronger highlighted areas in the finished result, so position them where you want to see more lightness. (pict. 2-3)

•Mix in a bowl Supermeches+ Fast with Oxid’o Alfaparf Milano 30 Vol, diluition ratio 1:2. Paint the product directly over the top of the hair, in the same direction as the application of the Rigen Nourishing Cream, working from root to tip.

Apply the product generously at the root and gradually fade out the application towards the very ends of the hair. (pict. 4-5)

•Protect the skin where necessary using a piece of cotton wool to elevate the hair away from the skin. Note that the bleaching application fades out towards the ends of the hair. Be careful not to over-apply the product at the ends (pict. 6)

•Allow to process for 20 minutes. (pict. 7)

The finished effect is a gentle sun kissed effect with stronger focal points where the openings were created.

•Mix in a bowl Supermeches+ Fast with Oxid’o Alfaparf Milano 20 Vol, diluition ratio 1:2. Take a section roughly 2 cm behind the hairline that follows the shape of the hairline. It is easiest to begin this technique at the

outside of the longest part of the shape. (fig. 1)

•Using a wide tooth cutting comb, dip the comb into the bowl of the bleaching mixture and gently comb the product down the hair shaft. Dip the comb into the product before each application. Wipe any excess product off the comb onto the side of the bowl to help ensure a delicate application. You are aiming to create delicate yet visible sweep of color. Comb on any amount of ‘lights’ that you wish. A better result is created by leaving strong spaces between each light - between 1 and 2 cm is ideal. (pict. 2)

•After finishing the row, gently release the hair above that has been clipped away. (pict. 3)

•Continue working in the same way to the top of the section. Avoid positioning the lights directly above those in the row directly below. (pict. 4-5-6)

•Take another section on the opposite side of the head, again following the shape of the hairline. (pict. 7)

•Comb on the lights in the same manner, remembering to space them apart from each other. (pict. 8)

•Let the next section down and comb it gently into place without disturbing the colored hair beneath. (pict. 9)

•Continue combing the lights onto the next section. Remember to place the lights so they sit in between those of the row below. Continue all the way to the top of the section. (pict. 10)

•Now start the application in the back of the head. It is easiest to work with diagonal sections. If the hair is very short, use the heel of the hand to hold the hair out of the way. Position your hand so that you do not obstruct the area to be colored. Apply the color in the same way. Where the hair is very short, pay attention to make the color application very delicate. It is important to not overload the short hair with color. (pict. 11)

•At the end of the first section, create a new section above the first in the same way as you did at the front of the head. Again, remember to position each row of lights in between the lights of the row below. It is important that you do not create

heavy areas of color by stacking the lights on top of each other. (pict. 12)

•As you move up through the sections, gently comb the hair into the correct position. Be careful not to disturb the color on the section below. Continue working the same way to the top of the section and then repeat the same application technique on the opposite side. (pict. 13)

•When the application is complete, turn the model around in front of a mirror to check that you have created an even distribution of color. Process until the desired amount of lightening is achieved. (pict. 14-15)

The finished effect is a classic highlighted look that can also be used on short and graduated shapes.
