Watoto Children’s Choir to lead worship today The Watoto Children’s Choir will lead worship during both services today. Each child in the choir has suffered the loss of one or both parents and now lives in a Watoto village in Uganda. The children will sing, dance and share stories of how the love of Jesus has changed their lives. We will take up a special offering that will go to the choir, and because we want Aldersgate children to see the choir, we will not have children’s PAL (Praise And Learning) Time in the 9:00AM ser-vice and children’s Sunday School will not meet today. Early Bird registration deadline ends on Tuesday Aldersgate is having Shipwrecked VBS 5:45 to 8:00PM July 30-Aug. 2, where kids will discover that Jesus rescues them. They’ll take part in fun Bible-learning activities, play games, sing lots of songs and learn to look for evidence of God all around them. Early Bird registration is available until Tues-day, May 1, so one child can register for $15 and two for $25. Registration forms are available on the clipboard by the Welcome Desk, or you can register online at www.aldersgateumc-ks.org/vbs-2018/. If you have any questions about Shipwrecked VBS, please contact Kayla Houck, [email protected]. Sign up for a Cinco de Mayo Party with a Purpose We're kicking off our next round of Party with a Purpose din-ners with a celebration. Tom and Tonya Adams will host a Cinco de Mayo Party with a Purpose dinner at 6:00PM on Sat-urday, May 5. Their menu includes a taco bar, chicken enchi-ladas, and pork tamales with all the fixings. The church reno-vation team has decided to refresh and renovate the chil-dren’s area in the basement with paint and new furniture, as well as making updates to the sound booth and in the kitch-en. Guests who attend the dinner will be invited to donate an amount equal to what they might have spent on a special restaurant dinner to the church’s Renewal Fund. To come, please sign up on the clipboard by the Welcome Desk or at www.aldersgateumc-ks.org/party-purpose-dinner/. For more information, please contact Tonya Adams at 913-244-4090 or email her at [email protected].
