SEASON OF LENT
Lent is the 40-day period (excluding Sundays) of preparation which precedes
Easter. Christians are urged to enter into a time of self-examination and
repentance as they prepare for the celebration of Christ’s resurrection.
Focus: The life and ministry of Christ, especially his last days in Jerusalem.

5. HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES
Our heartfelt condolences to Kristal Kaan and Goh Yong Geng on the demise
of their beloved father/father-in-law, the late Mr Kaan Quan Hang on 10
March 2020. We pray for God’s peace and comfort for the family during this
time of their loss.

Aldersgate Methodist Church
Synchronised Prayer at 9pm
Synchronised Prayer allows our AMC family to pray in union with one another virtually
wherever we may be, at a fixed time! God will hear and respond to the faith of any one of His
followers who call upon Him, but even more so whenever multiple believers combine and unify
their faith and prayers.
Wherever we are, let us pause at 9pm from 22 March 2020 to pray in one accord and in
oneness of spirit for God to eradicate the COVID—19.
2 Chronicles 20:12
“O our God, will you not execute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this
great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on
you.”
Let us turn our fears and worries to intercession.
Prayer pointers:
1. WORLD
i) God’s Divine intervention and Divine protection.
ii) God’s peace and healing for those who are afflicted with the illness.
iii) Protection and wisdom for all frontline healthcare workers.
iv) Eradicate the COVID-19 virus.
v) To discover a vaccine against the COVID-19 virus.
PRAY FOR SINGAPORE
i) Protection from the COVID-19 virus.
ii) Pray for those whose livelihood has been affected by this situation that
they will experience God' s provision through His people.
iii) Peace.
2. PRAY FOR THE SINGAPORE GOVERNMENT TO HAVE
i) Wisdom and skill in containing the epidemic.
3. ALDERSGATE METHODIST CHURCH
i) God’s protection over Aldersgate Methodist Church, Fairfield Methodist
School (Primary), Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary), APC kids and
teachers, Pastors, AMC staff, cleaners, AMC precautionary measures
volunteers and all AMC worshippers from the COVID-19 virus.
ii) Live life rooted in God and conviction of God’s sovereignty over all
things.
