Noble Gas Electron Configuration 10/28/10• The noble gas electron configuration of an

element starts with the noble gas that comes before the element in brackets and then continues from there to the element.

• Ex. For the element Ca, that would be [Ar]4s2

• The valence electrons are the highest level electrons. For example, if the configuration is [Kr]5s24d105p4 , the valence electrons are 5s25p4 .
