Join us for a trip of a lifetime! Come visit this enchanted world of beauty. A place that pictures don’t do justice, you have to see it to believe it!!! Day 1 Thurs. Oct. 3 Join us as we make our way to the great southwest and take part in one of the most spectacular sites you will ever see! We get things started with an overnight stay in Joplin, Mo. including a hotel ‘Happy Hour.’ (D) Day 2 Fri. Oct. 4 We continue our journey southwest today with a stop in Miami, Ok., home to several Route 66 icons. We will visit the beautiful, historic Coleman Theatre. We will also stop by the Vintage Motorcycle Museum for a visit back in time, including an Evel Knievel memorabilia collection. We will make another couple stops along the way, taking in more ‘Mother Road’ fun, before ending today’s adventure in Edmund, Ok. (B,L) Day 3 Sat. Oct. 5 We continue our trek westward adding more Route 66 adventure, with a morning coffee break stop at Lucille’s Road House. Lucille was known as the ‘Mother of the Mother Road.’ We trail down the road with a couple more Route 66 surprises before reaching Amarillo, Tx. Where we will visit the National Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum. Overnight in Amarillo with another hotel ‘Happy Hour.’ (B,D) Day 4 Sun. Oct. 6 Another fun day planned as we make our way to Albuquerque. This afternoon we will visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. The center is dedicated to the history, culture and art of the Pueblo Indian. Lodging for the next two nights in Albuquerque. (B) Day 5, Mon. Oct. 7 Today’s the day we’ve all come for!!! You will rise and shine early in the morning to go to the Balloon Fiesta grounds. As dawn approaches we will have seats in an open-air patio to sit and watch the morning ascension of hundreds of balloons. One word describes what you will see, amazing! Later this morning we will visit the Hot Air Balloon Museum, where you will explore the history, science, sport, and art of ballooning. This afternoon we will visit the Turquoise Museum where you will view some of the world’s rarest and most collectable pieces of turquoise and turquoise jewelry. Day 6 Tues. Oct. 8 Once again, we will rise and shine early to see the morning mass

ascension of the Balloon Fiesta. Later this morning we bid farewell to Albuquerque and

continue our colorful journey west. This afternoon we arrive in Williams, Az. where you

will have some free time to check out this neat little Route 66 town. Lodging tonight is at

the Grand Canyon Rail Hotel in Williams. (B)

Day 7 Wed. Oct. 9 All Aboard!!!! Today we travel from Williams, Az. to the South Rim of

the Grand Canyon via the Grand Canyon Railway. After our arrival at the Grand Canyon,

we will have an escorted tour of this great park, where you will get to walk along the rim

and take in the awe of one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the World.’ Later this afternoon we

depart the Grand Canyon and travel to Page, Az., to overnight. (B,L)

Day 8 Thurs. Oct. 10 This morning we take a guided tour onto the land of the Navajo’s and

into the Antelope Slot Canyon. Our Navajo guide will take us through the canyon and tell

of many tales. The photo ops are amazing! This is definitely one of Mother Nature’s

hidden spectaculars! Before leaving the Page, Az. area we will make a quick stop at the

Glen Canyon Dam where you will get a beautiful view of the upper Colorado River Basin

and Lake Powell. We will travel into Utah and on towards Bryce Canyon. Tonight we rest

at Bryce Canyon Hotel. (B,D)

Day 9 Fri. Oct. 11 Today we enjoy a driving tour through Bryce Canyon National Park.

This park has unique rock formation spires, known as ‘hoo-doo’s.’ The red, white and

orange colors of the rocks provide spectacular views. After leaving Bryce Canyon, we start

our trek back towards home, with many fun things to still see and do. Tonight’s lodging

will be in Grand Junction, Co. (B)

Day 10 Sat. Oct. 12 Today we travel across the great state of Colorado, through the gorgeous Rocky Mountain Basin, where the Colorado Aspens should be shimmering in gold! Overnight tonight in Ogallala, Neb. (B)

Day 11 Sun. Oct. 13 Continuing our journey towards home, we stop off in

North Platte, Neb., home of the Bailey Train Yards, the world’s largest

train yard, covering a massive 2,850 acres where each day 10,000

railroad cars pass. We will take an elevator to the top of Golden

Spike Tower and enjoy the grand view. You will be amazed!

After leaving North Platte we will travel to Kearney, Neb.

where we will visit the Great Platte River Road Archway. Then

we travel to Omaha for our last overnight stay. (B)

today is that day. Taking with you fond memories of the great southwest and all it has
