One of the leading French painters of his time, Raoul Dufy (1877 – 1953) signed and presented “La Cortisone” to Dr. Philip Hench in gratitude for the results he experienced after his cortisone treatments at Mayo Clinic. Drs. Edward C. Kendall and Philip S. Hench shared the Nobel Prize in 1950 for the isolation and first use of cortisone.
