Proudly providing superior exhaust systems for Audi LMP1 racecars. In partnership with Audi Sport, Akrapovič won the FIA WEC Championship in 2012 and 2013, and was the winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010 and every year since, proving its flawless performance in the world’s toughest car race. In 2013, Audi Sport and Akrapovič expanded their successful partnership by joining forces in DTM and winning the championship title with Mike Rockenfeller.

Based on these outstanding results, the collaboration between Akrapovič and Audi continued in Audi Sport customer racing, where the Audi R8 LMS ultra developed by quattro GmbH won the extremely demanding 24-hour races at the Nürburgring and Spa.

Special Titanium AlloyNot all titanium alloys are created equal. Akrapovič titanium exhaust systems are crafted from a proprietary titanium alloy. The titanium we use is produced exclusively for us and is three times stronger and more heat resistant than others available. Although our titanium alloy is considerably more expensive and difficult to form than more common “commercial” alloys, it ensures a product that’s substantially more durable, dimensionally more stable, and heat resistant. Our titanium is 40% lighter than stainless steel, helping improve handling and performance.

The Best Carbon FibreOur carbon fibre is produced in-house, and is pre-impregnated and ultralight with high tensile strength and temperature resistance. Akrapovič uses the latest technology and machinery to produce carbon fibre, but final assembly and inspection is by hand with a meticulous approach to quality and finish. The benefits of our carbon fibre include weight reduction versus stainless steel, which can be as much as eight times lower. Other benefits include very high tensile strength and an extremely attractive finish illustrated particularly in the Akrapovič tailpipes.

It’s deep and resonant at lower engine revs, and sporty at higher revs. The system also generously delivers additional performance. These titanium exhaust systems with three mufflers and special parts cast at the in-house foundry feature inbuilt valves to adjust the sound. Valves are connected to the RS’ standard electronics. The package is rounded off by carbon fibre and titanium tailpipes, which really stand out and display the sports spirit of the Akrapovič exhaust.
