Like almost the cities around the globe, Baia Mare,is polluted by cars but over the years Baia Mare had been polluted by Combinat, a manufacture which now is unfunctionall. I heard to my older relatives that, in the town,at that time it was such a dense and acid smoge that the socks where disolved when you get out of the home.But now our problems are cars wich emitted a lot of gases in the atmosfere, a lot subtstance that causes disease. Subtstance like: Carbon monoxid (CO) a toxic, colorless, odorless gas; hidrocarbs or volatile organic compounds (COV) produced in principal due to fossil fuel which is evaporating. Sun light undo these compounds forming oxidants which reacts with nitrogen oxide and create ozon (O3) to the ground, one of the principal compounds of the smog.Nitrogen oxides (NO and NO2, named togheter Nox) contributes at forming of the smog and acid rain and prodced also irritation of the mucous membranes of human.All the substance enumarated above, in time produce cancer or other diseases for humans.So, in my opinion we need to protect the nature and us, beacause like almost the occidental cities Baia Mare had a problem with unhealthy food and at least we need tring to be more active most of the time, to use the car just for long rodes and if is just necessary .
