Background

Air Energi is a preferred supplier of talent to Powerlink Queensland. Powerlink Queensland is an owner, operator and maintainer of the Queensland high voltage electricity transmission network. Powerlink has multiple project locations across Queensland as well as their Brisbane head office and Air Energi has been able to source talent for all of their locations.

Challenge

Due to the vast scale of energy projects happening at one time across Australia, there has been perpetual shortages in skilled personnel to fill the required roles in the country.

As major projects converge, shortages in key project positions become acute and clients such as Powerlink need to be aware of, and have access to, the best talent in Australia.

Air Energi Solution

Since 2011 Air Energi has been engaged by Powerlink Queensland to provide contract talent across their state-wide projects and operations. The personnel provided are Quality, Construction, Electrical HSE, Environmental Supervisors to work on construction projects and to support their ongoing operations. Air Energi was able to source the personnel required through project networks to attract the most skilled and appropriate talent across Australia to Powerlink. Along with providing talent to meet required timescales, Air Energi ensures all contractors have the relevant medicals, qualifications and background checks and that these are renewed on a yearly basis. Air Energi recently went from being on a preferred supplier list of ten, to being on Powerlink Queensland’s preferred supplier list of four, demonstrating our continued value to the organisation.
