PRESIDENT APPLICATION 2015/2016
It’s with great pleasure that I congratulate you for taking interest in applying for Local Committee President of AIESEC in Port Harcourt, as no other experience is as rewarding and meaningful as the LCP experience. One major decision in my life is one that I took to apply for LCP in AIESEC in Port Harcourt, with the purest intention of making an impact in an entity. Not a day goes by where I don’t feel challenged both from a professional and personal standpoint. This experience has tested me, frustrated me, knocked me down, but it also has given me the most amazing learning experience I’ve ever had, it has also challenged me to be the best version of myself, in other to lead remarkably. Regardless of the position that you are in right now, note that being the next LCP would mean that you are a part of the league of leaders to lead the entity to achieve AIESEC 2015, and the start of the new mid-term ambition for AIESEC as a whole. As one of the Biggest and fast growing entities in Nigeria, it will take a person who has a the right attitude and vision, who is responsible, disciplined, brave, persevered and motivated, to be that leader that will cause a generational change and impact in AIESEC Port Harcourt. I challenge you as I challenge myself to be the catalyst of change in this entity. Be the leader that AIESEC will need in Nigeria and be the leader that Nigeria needs through AIESEC. Dear Applicant,
In this application, you will able to use your creativity in designing your own application form. This process has been designed to help you standout and express yourself, making sure it reflects you and your personality. I urge you to be very realistic in your answers as every detail is very important in decision of the local plenary. This application is divided into 9 parts 1. LCP Candidacy video: A 5-minute video introducing yourself ,presenting your candidacy for LCP
15.16, and explaining “how you will lead the change that AIESEC port Harcourt needs”. Video should be uploaded on AIESEC Port YouTube account and the link be attached to your application package.
2. Executive Summary- A summary of your application information which must not exceed ONE page. 3. Personal Bio-Data which must not exceed ONE page. 4. Resume: List relevant personal, professional and AIESEC experience that you need us to be aware of. 5. LCP Questionnaire: This is divided into 3 parts; About you, Specific Questionnaire and General
Questionnaire. NOTE: All questions must be answered and must not exceed 15 pages. Font size of 12, Font style: Times New Roman.
6. Big Idea Challenge which mustn’t exceed one Page. 7. Endorsement Letters: 1 Alumni endorsement, 1 BOA endorsement of AIESEC in Port Harcourt, 1 LCP endorsement (international or local LC), 1 MC endorsement, 1 EB endorsement.

Application opens 20th December 2014. Application Deadline 6pm GMT+1 ,13th January 2015. Internal and External Review 22nd & 23rd of January 2015. Election: 24th January 2015.
Please note that the dates for reviews and election is tentative, therefore it isn’t a fixed date.

Eligibility…
Must have been on any the Previous Executive Board of AIESEC in Port Harcourt.
A current full member according to AIESEC in Port Harcourt compendium.
Must have been an AIESECER for at least one year. Have attended a National/Regional Conference.
The L.C.P is the Chief Executive of the AIESEC in Port Harcourt and shall represent
her in that capacity as necessary. The L.C.P, together with the V.P.F&A is responsible for the financial control of
AIESEC Port Harcourt. Be responsible for the co-ordination of the various states of execution of policies
and programmes worked out by the executive body and legislative body. Generally manage and supervises all aspects of the affairs of AIESEC in Port
Harcourt. He/She shall submit a report to the legislative body at the end of his/her term of
office.

throughout the experience that will take you to the next term. 4. What do you think is the kind of leadership that AIESEC in Port Harcourt needs in
2015-2016? How best do you represent this kind leadership? 5. Why do you believe that being LCP is the next step in your AIESEC career and
how does this play in your own personal development?
6. What have been your top achievements and non-achievements as an Aiesecer? What have you learned from this experience and how has it shown in your personal and professional development?
7. What situation in your life has best described your personality?
About You
Specific Questionnaire… 1. Based on the context of 15-16 term, identify and rank in importance, your main
responsibilities as LCP and why? 2. In one page, explain or illustrate your vision for the local committee, connecting it to
measurable indicators of success (KPI’s). What does this vision mean for AIESEC in Port Harcourt and AIESEC in Nigeria?
3. Describe the kind of culture you would like to drive in AIESEC in Port Harcourt. Then
describe what your ideal LCEB team will be with regards how you will drive your vision and this culture you identified.
4. Please design a tool that can be used to track each functional areas monthly performance and
make sure that it shows specific results for processes performance and quality measures. 5. As AIESEC Port Harcourt extends its market reach to other institutions, how can we improve
our visibility in our current market and ensure visibility in the other institutions we are extending to? What will be your role as LCP to facilitate this?
6. Discuss 3 main programs/initiatives you will implement during your term to improve LC performance and drive financial sustainability.
7. What legacy will your team be remembered for at the end of your term?
General Questionnaire… 1. Using any framework or assessment tool of your choice, provide an internal and
external analysis of the current realities of AIESEC in Port Harcourt, and draw three important conclusions with the corresponding action steps in growing the organization entering into 2015 and post 2015.
2. To achieve AIESEC 2015 as a global network, we strive to live up to Gen. 2015
behaviors and lead our respective entities to the fundamental changes that AIESEC needs. As LCP 15.16, that will lead AIESEC Port Harcourt to the achievement of AIESEC 2015, how will you continue from term 14.15, while keeping in mind the formation of AIESEC 2020? Itemize your key focus area/ areas and their level of priority.
3. Describe and assess the term 2013-2014 & 2014-2015. What do you think are the foundations that these terms have set, that will enable the growth of the entity for the term 2015-2016.
4. What is AIESEC Port Harcourt’s role in the University of Port Harcourt, in
Rivers State and in the National plenary? From your analysis, what will be your local strategy to concretely drive the relevance and maximum impact of the entity?
General Questionnaire… 5. How can we capitalize on the National and global network to ensure growth
in AIESEC Port Harcourt. 6. Identify the Strengths and bottle necks of the current Functional areas in
AIESEC Port Harcourt and highlight action steps in growing every functional areas to the desired LC you would want to see, 2 years after your term.
