Who are we?

• AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-

profit organization run by students and recent

graduates of institutions of higher education founded

in 1948.

• Your international experience will be facilitated by a

global network of fellow students and recent

graduates - who will support you every step of the

way.

• Global Citizen is an intensive international volunteer

abroad experience that enables you to work on

projects that impact social issues and develop

entrepreneurial and leadership skills through

international internships mainly on social issues.

• As an exchange participant, students work with

international NGOs, along with interns from across

the globe, manage their own projects and track

their results in a timeframe of 6 weeks.

Projects

My internship in Saint Petersburg, Russia

was a life changing experience for me. I

taught students in different schools as a

part of the IT Literacy project powered

by Microsoft. I got a chance to interact

with students and professionals from

over 6 to 7 different countries. The whole

experience made me explore not just

other cultures but myself. I now see the

whole world from a different perspective.

I have friends in more than 7 countries

and will forever be indebted to AIESEC IIT

Kharagpur for providing me with such an

experience.

Microsoft’s IT Literacy Project has been a very influential part of my life. Not only

did I make some amazing friends for life

through this project, I also experienced

wanderlust at its best. During my two

months in Russia, I realized how

fascinating it is to explore a new city with

people from all over the world despite all

our difference and realize that all this

while, I had an indifferent outlook

towards a lot of experiences that life had

to offer. The biggest take-back I had from

the entire experience is a realization that

a meaningful life begins only at the end

of your comfort zone.
