We cultivate global mindsets while offering organizations an incredible opportunity to access and interact with talent from all corners of the globe.

Our Vision

is to provide a platform for youth leadership development. We offer young people the opportunity to be global citizens and change the world through experiential learning. The core channel to provide impact is our Global Exchange Program. The youth we engage is directly impacted through the authentic experiences we provide by participating in a global learning environment, developing international perspective, nurturing an entrepreneurial outlook, and practicing social responsibility.

Our Values

Our History

The history behind AIESEC started in the 1930s, when representatives from schools across Europe exchanged information about various programs and schools that specialized in business and economics. Students were carrying out internships in other countries, but mostly on their own initiative until it came to a standstill with the onslaught of World War II. At the time, the mission was “to expand the understanding of a nation by expanding the understanding of the individuals”, changing the world one person at a time. Soon, AIESEC became relevant: by the end of 1960, 2467 exchanges were reported, and 4232 by the end of 1970. The mission at the time quickly grew to be a guideline for future generations of the organization.

By running operations of AIESEC within a Local Chapter, students gain practical skills and leadership development for future success. Within AIESEC, members work in a diverse team and are placed in an environment of experiential learning. Members grow through hard and soft skill development, teamwork experience, opportunities to run strategic projects and the management of their own team. The most valuable aspect of the development AIESEC offers is the real life application of what an individual gains through the member experience. These skills are put into practice as they are exposed to the AIESEC network through national and international conferences. We also offer the opportunity to further gain access to not just fellow members but successful Alum and our Global Partners.

One of AIESEC’s greatest strengths is our ability to bring together young people and partner organizations from all over the world through internships, conferences and our global learning environment.

Local, National and International offices are managed by students or recent graduates. AIESEC is run by youth, for youth.

Around the world, AIESEC members are resposible for managing relationships with our partners, facilitating exchanges, participating in leadership roles, and organizing conferences.

The AIESEC conference is a moment when the commitment of the members, the power of AIESEC’s vision and the strength of the global network come together to create an intense learning experience. Each year AIESEC organizes and delivers over 470 national and international conferences where members have the opportunity to receive training sessions, develop strategies for the future of the organization, discuss mattering world issues and engage with the partners from the corporate world. It is a fantastic chance for members to elaborate on skills, widen their personal network, and demonstrate active leadership.

Working Abroad Through AIESEC

AIESEC’s goal is to engage students around the world by creating international opportunities geared toward professional and personal growth. For both undergraduate and graduate students, AIESEC serves as the platform to develop young leaders equipped with a global mindset. Global Exchange Program: Breaking Cultural Barriers
