Intro to Agriculture
• Prerequisite: Fr./So.• Learn how the Ag Industry works!• The Ag Industry has economic influence• Job opportunities in Ag• Basic Agriculture knowledge• Set up your Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE)– Beef Production, Vegetable Production, Veterinary
Medicine, Chicken Management, Part Time Job with an Agricultural background. This can even be about you taking care of your dog!!
Agricultural Science
• Prerequisite: So./Jr./Sr. & Intro to Agriculture• Builds on Intro to Ag• Applied math/science skills• Computer applications are emphasized• Individualized instruction through SAEP
Environmental Science
• Prerequisite: So./Jr./Sr. Standing• Environment and Agriculture• Learn ways to improve impact on environment• Management of Ecosystems• Counts as an NCAA Science!
Biological Science Applications
• Prerequisite: Biology I• Using science in real life• Major phases of animal agriculture• Growth and Development of Animals• Good preparation for real life Agriculture
Horticulture
• Prerequisite: Jr./Sr. & Intro to Ag• Instruction in landscaping and floriculture• Landscape design and installation• Improve computer and workspace skills• Work in the Greenhouse with Mrs. Parr• Help with the annual plant sale
Veterinary Technology
• Prerequisite: Jr./Sr. & Biology I• Develop understanding of companion animals• Career understanding of vet and lab jobs• Five hours of service at clinic or shelter
Agribusiness Management (AGB 135)
• Prerequisite: 3.0 GPA & Complete Dual Credit Form
• Manage personal finance• Develop successful business skills• Develop employability skills
FFA
• Largest student organization in US• Open to all agriculture students• Lots of Activities: CDEs, SAEs, Camp/
Conventions/Conferences, Chapter Activities, and Section Activities, Chorus and Band on State and National Levels, friends from across the Nation, plenty of inside jokes
• CDEs are called Career Development Events and include areas such as Livestock Evaluation, Agronomy, Land Judging, Parli Pro, Public Speaking, and Dairy Foods Evaluation
FFA cont.
• There are lots of fun Camps etc. every year!• Fun activities at Chapter and Section level
such as: Parties, Workshops, Banquets, Bowling, and Fairs
• TO BE A MEMBER YOU MUST BE ENROLLED IN AN AG CLASS!!

• There are meetings the last Wed. of every Month at Lunch, Monicals pizza is provided
• First meeting is open to new members• Greenhand workshop• Chance to learn leadership skills that will last a
lifetime!• Plenty of opportunities to vocalize your
opinions and ideas on many subjects
