• On-going analysis and list of proposal(s) to improve the control of a developed fire in the SPS

• Sprinklers, confinement, safe evacuation, FB intervention, radiation safe zone

• Same spirit as for the PS Fire Safety improvements LS1 (PS Ring fire doors)

Experimental Areas PSS• Scope

• Primary zones and Secondary zones is no longer sufficient to define PSS functions• The Experimental Areas are today more complex with a large set of risks (higher

intensity radiation from beam, sources, laser, etc.)• Use functional safety methodology as done for the LHC and PS

• Starting with Preliminary Risk Analysis, def. of physical barriers, safety functions -> Safety Files

• Set up a product catalog and test platform to design and validate Exp. Areas PSS
