• 20% of respondents spent an average of 1.94 hours per capita per year on attending a hygiene promotion activity (n=610). •The average cost of a person’s time is US$ 0.16 per hour (n=1688).

• Household expenditures in hygiene promotion is higher than the public expenditures

• The Government of Mozambique has adopted the PEC-Zonal as the main strategy to ensure sustainability of WASH services (it includes CLTS for sanitation and hygiene)
