Code Search Method 1. PRESS and release the TV button 2. PRESS and HOLD the RCU SETUP until the TV button blinks twice 3. Enter in 9 9 1 and the TV button will blink twice 4. Aim the remote at the TV and press and release the POWER button 5. PRESS and RELEASE the CH+ or CH- until the TV turns off 6. PRESS the POWER button to turn the TV on 7. PRESS the RCU SETUP button to store the code for the TV. The TV button will blink twice. The remote is now ready to operate the TV Volume (Use with Code Search Method) 1. Press and release the TV button 2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the TV button blinks TWICE 3. Enter in 9 9 3 4. Press and release the TV button and wait until it blinks twice Once these steps have been completed, you should be able to control the volume +/- and the mute regardless of what “mode” you are in. (i.e. TV, STB) The Learning Method Basically, this means that you can transfer the information from the FACTORY ISSUED remote to the ADB remote (power, volume, etc.) It bypasses having to do the code search method. 1. Press the RCU SETUP until the last selected mode button blinks twice. (TV, DVD, etc.) 2. Enter in 9 7 5 3. Press the TV button 4. Press the button you wish to program (i.e. POWER) on the ADB remote 5. Place the ADB remote and the ORIGINAL remote head-to-head about 2 inches apart. 6. Press and HOLD the SAME button (power) on the ORIGINAL remote. The ADB remote TV button will blink rapidly and turn off. Keep holding the button on the ORIGINAL remote until the TV button on the ADB remote blinks twice. *If the learning failed, the TV button will emit on long blink. You will have to repeat step 6. Setting Up ADB Remote to Turn Off TV Use the following steps to allow the ADB remotes to turn on/off the TV while in Set Top Box (STB) mode. This should eliminate the need to toggle between TV mode and STB mode. You can determine what mode the remote is in as the LED mode light will flash when any button on the remote is pushed. NOTE: With this setup, ONLY the TV power (on/off) will be controled using the remote while in STB mode. The STB power will have to be toggled on/off by pushing the power button located on front panel of the STB. To control your TV power from STB mode: 1. Push STB 2. Press and hold RCU Setup until STB flashes twice 3. Press 9 9 5 4. Press Power 5. Press TV 6. Press Power 7. Press STB 8. Once these steps have been completed, you should be able to control the volume +/- and the mute regardless of what “mode” you are in. (i.e. TV, STB)

The Learning Method

Setting Up ADB Remote to Turn O� TV

Use the following steps to allow the ADB remotes to turn on/o� the TV while in Set Top Box (STB) mode. This should eliminate the need to toggle between TV mode and STB mode. You can determine what mode the remote is in as the LED mode light will flash when any button on the remote is pushed.

NOTE: With this setup, ONLY the TV power (on/o�) will be controled using the remote while in STB mode. The STB power will have to be toggled on/o� by pushing the power button located on front panel of the STB.

To control your TV power from STB mode:1. Push STB2. Press and hold RCU Setup until STB flashes twice3. Press 9 9 54. Press Power5. Press TV6. Press Power7. Press STB8. Press and hold RCU Setup until STB flashes twice
