We are the UP Economics Society (UP Ecosoc), a non-stock, non-profit socio-civic organization,

and one of the leading student organizations in the university. The organization is anchored onthe provision of quality education to its scholars and an array of diverse activities gearedtowards the holistic well-being of its nearly 200 members and more than 1,000 alumni.

As we begin our 53rd

year, the organization has planed a series of events for its month longcelebration showcasing the brand that is UP Ecosoc Service, Excellence and Tradition. Thesaid affairs will provide avenue in reaching more than a total of 1,000 students, alumni, facultymembers and administration of the UP School of Economics and other colleges within andoutside the university throughout the month of September.

The UP Ecosoc Ad Hoc Committee is responsible for coordinating the organization'sanniversary celebrations held every September. This semester, revenues collected byAd Hoc will fund events including a leadership, youth empowerment, and developmenteconomics summit of Economics organizations in Metro Manila; a grand fair where othersocio-civic organizations, NGOs, and charities will be given a chance to showcase theircauses; and the organization's community development initiatives.

The Anniversary Party is a culminating activity in a night of party, music and dance free forthe organizations members and guests. It is a staple event in Ecosocs annual month-longcelebration and also one of the most anticipated college parties in the Metro attended byhundreds of youthful revelers every year.

For this year, Ad Hoc looks forward to capturing a market of at least 1000 college studentsand young professionals. The party has been planned to take place in Makati or FortBonifacio.

Some of the recent parties held within the past year include:

An Aztec-themed party held at TheTents at Southgate Plaza andattended by 600 college students andyuppies

Almost a thousand partygoers packedThe Blue Leaf in McKinley Hill

At least 500 revelers enjoyed a nightof music and dance at the place to beseen Seventh High at Bonifacio
