th thIES-MCRC hosted its 12 Convocation ceremony on Saturday, 13 October, 2012 at Manik Sabhagriha, the
College auditorium. The Chief Guest for the function was Shri Subhash Chandra, Chairman – Essel Group. The
Welcome Address was delivered by Shri A. B. Vaidya, President, IES. 230 students of the 2010-12 batches of the
PGDM, PGDM(HCPM) and MMS programmes were awarded graduation certificates. Certificates and medals
were also awarded to 9 toppers who excelled in the different specialization streams of PGDM, PGDM(HCPM) and
MMS. A select faculty and staff were also awarded certificates and mementoes for their exemplary
performance.

IES-MCRC conducted its annual Pharma rdevent INSIGHT on 23 November, 2012 for
ththe 11 consecutive year. The theme was “PHARMA and HEALTHCARE 2020 - STRATEGIES FOR SUSTAINABILITY and GROWTH”.
The guests for the day were Mr. Nitin Ghadiyar, Management Consultant, Mr. Ajit Singh, Chairman, ACG Worldwide, Mr. Sudarshan Jain, MD, Abbott Healthcare, Mr. Sundeep Bambolkar, Joint Managing Director, Indoco Remedies Ltd, Mr. Sameer Tamhane, Director HR, MSD India.

The Lifetime achievement award was given to Mr. Ajit Singh, Chairman, ACG Worldwide. ACG also introduced a cash award for the best summer project which was awarded to Mr. Surendra Patil.
The Sun Pharma Excellence Award was given to Mr. Kartik Patel and Ms. Nikita Patankar by Mr. MVN Rao, Senior VP, Global Human Resource, Sun Pharma.

Finance Club (in-Fin-it-IES)IES-MCRC Finance Club in association with Sharekhan organized StockWiz – Mock Stock Event on Thursday, October 25, 2012. The lead sponsor was Sharekhan. Contestants were trading in live markets (NSE / BSE - Cash
segment) with a total corpus of Rs.25 lacs. Teams with the highest profits at the end of trading session, were declared as the winners. Mr. Dhiraj Duseja & Mr. Akshat Awasthi of PGDM-A won the first position and the runners-up were Ms. Bharti Nagdeo & Mr. Darshan Doshi. There was also a quiz related to stock market and prizes were awarded to the winners.

1. Jago Young India – 2012, was organized on 4 December, 2012, by RYTHM. The topic was “Awareness Against Crime”. The speakers were former Commissioner of Police of Mumbai and former Director General of Police at Punjab, Mr. Julio Rebeiro, Dr. Sheilesh Mohite (Professor Department of Forensic, Nair Hospital), Ms. Flavia Agnes (Founder - Majlis) and Ms. Abha Singh (Advocate). This program was organized to sensitize city youth against crime. The programme was followed by poster presentation and street plays from different colleges. 400 students attended the programme.
th2. A film based on breast cancer survivor's life brought by Nargis Dutt Foundation was shown to the girl students on 7 November, 2012.

Women's Development Cell conducted 'Inter-collegiate competitions on Sexual Harassment' in association with a NGO called Majlis on
th20 December, 2012. The speakers were Adv. Nausheen Yousuf (Programme Manager, Majlis), Adv. Prajakta and Ms. Swati (Majlis volunteers). About 23 students participated in various competitions of skit, slogan writing and poster making. The programme was beneficial in terms of creating awareness among students and sensitizing them to the issue.

Mock Interviewsrd
Mock interviews were conducted for senior students on 3 November, 2012. The objective of the programme was to provide
individualized, intensive assistance in improving students' performance in interview and making them industry fit. Around
30 executives from industry participated. The Companies included HUL, Sap India, Novartis, L&T, L&T Infotech, Abbot,
Piramal Healthcare, Siemens, HDFC, Godrej, DCB Bank, Raymonds IDBI Capital, CMC, etc.
