I. Scene I – takes place in Mantua 157.

A. Romeo HAS NOT gotten any letters from Fr. Laurence. 162.

B. Balthasar brings the news of Juliet’s death to Romeo. 159.

C. Romeo wants to leave immediately for Verona. 160.

D. Balthasar tries to get him to wait for more news. 161.

E. Romeo

1. plans to go to Verona,

2. kill himself and

3. lie forever in the Capulet’s tomb with Juliet. 164.

F. Romeo needs to get some fast acting poison.

1. The poison is illegal in Mantua.
