The distinctive shape of the STRUCTURELAB S1 is defi ned by the curved textile membrane which is held up only from the top. Wether in bright sunlight or as an iluminated sculpture at night it always creates a space of unique atmosphere.The STRUCTURELAB S1 is availabe in diff erent types, forms and colors starting with a diameter of 3.5 m (approx. 11.5 ft.). Powdercoated aluminum-profi les or highly stressable GRP-profi les guarantee an appearance of extraordinary lightness and elengance. The system, awarded with the red dot design award 2006, meets the highest creative demands and sets a course in designing individual and exclusive outdoor spaces.

The development of the sunshade system in close cooperation with architects and membrane-engineers aimed at creating an innovative and unique shadingsystem and designelement for night and day. The STRUCTURELAB S1 sunshade system is the con-vincing synthesis of a sail‘s elegance and a mobile umbrella‘s fl exibility and functionality.

The S1‘s cover protects against extreme sunshine as well as against rain. While a diversity of weather conditions and strong winds affect the canopy of the sunshade, material and processing of our covers are optimal balanced to match these strains. Guidelines for layout and processing are projected and controlled only by skilled employees.The accesory for the S1 is well balanced with types and sizes of the shading system. Depending on size and windexposure one can select between metallframe bases with inserted concrete blocks, flat steel bases or round concrete bases. Alternatively for object-, gastronomy- and exclusive private use, we particulary recommend the application of permanently installed groundsockets.

Depending on size and mast diameter the STRUCTURELAB S1 is available with a functional pulley system or a convenient, selfopening telescope-system. By use of the innovative internal gear and crank-handle-system, the sunshade opens „nearly by itself“ - only a few turns of the crank are required to give it the right tension. Closing of the S1 is likewise quick and easy to handle - a most convenient solution.Intelligent technical solutions and the consistent use of well balanced, high quality components guarantees an easy to handle and reliable qualityproduct „made in germany“ - technology by BIKATEC.
