Jeffrey S. Oakley, Ph.D., CSP, is an assistant professor of Industrial Hygiene and Safety at the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a safety consultant with many years of experience in accident investigation. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Health and Safety from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Oakley has spent most of his career conducting, researching and training in accident investigations, and performing safety and risk assessments. While working for the Department of Energy, he investigated numerous fatal and catastrophic accidents. Dr. Oakley is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and a member of the System Safety Society and the National Safety Council.
