This presentation is aimed at customers who are interested in Load Interrupter switchgear. Generally, these customers understand the product and have a need for it or have used it in their distribution systems. The main goal will be to ignite interest for the customer to write ABB into their specification or give ABB an opportunity to quote on future projects. Load Interrupter Switchgear is a cost effective solution for distribution equipment when infrequent switching and protective relaying is not required
It can be used to interrupt load, sectionalize, isolate and provide short circuit protection via fuses
The main purpose of this product is to act as secondary distribution used to interrupt load when infrequent switching or protective relaying are required.

Examples of product placement:
Industrial plant that requires power transformer
This is not going to serve as protection on a Utilities main distribution grid. This product would be installed in an industrial or commercial setting.
