the Xining Tibetan Hospital, as the

translator for the local doctors who

will take us through the daily life of

the hospital; showing external thera-

pies like bloodletting and moxibus-

tions, and also the fabrication of pills,

preparation of tibetan bath therapy,

etc...

TRAVELLING IN AMDO BY ROADS

FORCES OF NATURE WINS OVER MENAfter the course in Xining, some of you will carry on the trip to the high plateaux of Amdo towards a village called Malho,

Dr.Nidas hometown. The new

road is very good but the Yellow

River often goes out its bed

during summer storms and a 6

hours trip can become a non-

ending journey in the tempest.

The weather in the moutains is

unpredictable and mainly cold.
