Day 6 – St Stephen to Victoria - Overview of route An interesting walk up through Cornwall’s main China Clay workings- “The White Alps of St Austell” - then north to join the A30 after Roche General directions : Head north along minor roads from Terras up through China Clay works to Treviscoe village. Then on past St Dennis via further minor roads to Roche and finally Victoria and the A30 interchange.
Another fine warm sunny day. Headed out from Terras Mill (175ft) on A 3058 towards St Stephen and took a left northwards up minor road through Treneague. A little further on (16 minutes into walk) I took a right up a minor road (@237ft), climbing uphill through Trethosa and then a left at Hill Head (482ft) onto road past Threthosa China Clay works into Little Treviscoe @ 585 ft. Time elapsed so far : 49 minutes

DAY 6 – St. Stephen to Victoria – First leg to Treviscoe Kernick Mica Dam to the west of Little Treviscoe
Day 6 – St Stephen to Victoria – Second leg to Gothers Followed the minor road through Treviscoe towards St Dennis, crossing B 3279 to Nanpean, reaching high point of 740 ft after 1 hour 32 minutes of walking. Carried on to the east of St Dennis, straight past past turn off to Brewers Hill and Whitemoor, and head downhill to Little Gothers Farm (564 ft ) and Great Gothers @ 553 ft. Total walking time so far : 2 hours and 1 minute.
Day 6 – St Stephen to Victoria – Second leg to Gothers

Day 6 – St Stephen to Victoria - – Second leg to Gothers Coming down the north side of the “White Alps” at the Brewers Hill junction (right to Whitemoor) looking across to St Breock Downs in the distance
Day 6 – St Stephen to Victoria – Third leg to River Fal valley and Dyehouse
Continue on minor road through Gothers and turn left onto another minor road heading northwards into River Fal valley and on to Dyehouse @ 518 ft. Walking time so far : 2 hours 24 minutes

Day 6 – St Stephen to Victoria – Last leg from Dyehouse to Victoria Services
Cross the River Val @ 496 ft after 2 hours 23 minutes of walking. Then up the hill past Dyehouse to Roche @ 595ft after 2 hours 54 minutes of walking from start point. Turn left onto B3274 towards Padstow and then take right at roundabout towards Victoria Business Park and Station. Pass station @ 531 ft and 3 hours 20 minutes elapsed time, and turn right onto B3274 at T-junction signposted A30 to Redruth/Bodmin and A392 to Newquay. After another half mile pass BP garage on right @ 508 ft and Victoria Services and roundabout over A30. Total walking time 3 hours 34 minutes covering 7.83 miles.
