WelcomeSince 1996, The Center for Business and Industry has been serving individuals and companies in Smyth and Washington Counties and the City of Bristol, Virginia. As the workforce division of Virginia Highlands Community College, it has been our pleasure to provide training to upgrade job skills and provide

new career opportunities to many. In the past year we served close to 3,000 students through customized training, open-enrollment classes and continuing education credit classes.

As the calendar turns over to a new decade, we’ve decided it’s time for CBI to turn a new page in our history. A new decade deserves a new look and a new name. Henceforth, CBI will become Workforce Training & Continuing Education. We think this name better refl ects the services we provide our community. Beth, Vota, Stephanie, Nikelle and I will still be here to answer your questions and deliver the best training around. We look forward to seeing many of you this year in our training programs, conferences and continuing education classes.

Please let us know how we can serve you!
