Dear Brethren and Sisters in the gospel of Christ,

May these joyous greetings find their way to you at a time

when you are healthy, prosperous, and enjoying the blessings of

close fellowship with the Spirit of God. We trust that you cherishyour faith in God and your opportunities to further is !ingdom

more than anything else. "ou may be aware that the Church of

#esus Christ of $atter%day Saints and its founders ha&e in the past,

accomplished more on this earth for the sal&ation of man'ind than

any other group of people. (he $.D.S. in general are sincere in

their ser&ice to God and they are still fulfilling important purposes

in the plan of the $ord, e&en though they ha&e gradually set asidetheir most important principles and peculiarities. (hat is, with the

e)ception of a small branch of the Mormons.

(he Church has had a &ery successful trac' record. (heir

growth rate has been astonishing in &iew of the much opposition

that beset them during the first few years. (he Church had its

beginning when a much more important group was commanded toorgani*e it. (his group referred to is, of course, the +riesthood.

Many people ha&e, due to the magnitude of the Church, let this

plain historical fact become o&ershadowed. t is the responsibility

of the +riesthood to carry forward the $ord-s purposes of this last

dispensation of the fullness of times (he main purpose being to

bear witness of the gospel of #esus Christ to the world. (o assist

the +riesthood in this calling, the +rophet #oseph Smith re&ealed to

them the will of the $ord to ha&e a public au)iliary organi*ation, a

Church. (he +riesthood of God ga&e birth to the Church of #esus

Christ on pril /, 0123. t too' a number of years, howe&er, to get

it on its feet.

t was four years before a select 4uorum of +riesthood

brethren finally, commissioned by #oseph, chose twel&e faithful

brethren to be ordained as postles of the $ord #esus Christ in islatter%day Church. (he Church grew grace by grace. s the need

arose, more about its organi*ation was re&ealed.

t was gi&en custody of something &ery sacred5 the first

principles and ordinances of the gospel of #esus Christ. t was to

send these good tidings before the world.

s the higher principles and ordinances of the gospel weregi&en to #oseph, the more faithful +riesthood brethren would, in

turn, be taught them. n many cases it was years before some of

these more sacred principles were gently allowed to go public by

the prophets, through the medium of the Church. (he 6rticles of

7aith,6 though fairly basic, contained enough uni4ue teachings that

when taught to the world, it was still too much for some good

humble followers of Christ to accept. Most all proselyti*ing effortswere encompassed in these articles. Missionaries ha&e always been

instructed to stay within their scope5 the first four principles8

modern re&elation8 li&ing prophets8 owe&er, the Boo' of

Mormon8 the gathering of srael, etc. ,the dam%God doctrine8 the

law of consecration8 the law of celestial%plural marriage and other

higher principles were too much for a world so bound down by

centuries of false and superstitious traditions. magine how muchmore persecution the saints would ha&e had and how slow the

Church would ha&e grown if the $ord had re4uired the fullness of

the gospel to be made public from the beginning. dmittedly, this

may be difficult for most people to imagine who ha&e ne&er yet

been taught what the fullness of the gospel is.

7ortunately for the saints, the $ord lead them from the false

traditions of the world to the e)alting principles, gently and

gradually. (he +riesthood deli&ered the law of consecration to the

Church a spoonful at a time. (he dam%God doctrine began to be

taught among the +riesthood and after a number of years was

released to the Church. Celestial%plural marriage was gi&en too and

li&ed by the worthy saints through pri&ate +riesthood operations

for a number of years before it was admitted%to8 and then gi&en to

the Church as a holy principle of the gospel of #esus Christ. Manyfaithful had recei&ed witness of it and were commanded of the

$ord to li&e it8 yet at the same time, it was legitimately denied that

the Church either belie&ed, taught or practiced it. 9&entually the

+riesthood deli&ered the full law of celestial marriage to the

Church and it was openly taught.

(hough the Church was e&entually gi&en all the higher,principles8 the members as a whole ne&er really embraced them.

small percentage were faithful8 but the most part the membership

pro&ed to be ashamed of the fullness of the gospel

Being subject to the will of the majority, the Church began

a series of official re&ersals in principles and ordinances. (his

began in the late eighteen%hundreds. (he historic 01;3 Manifesto,to the eyes of the Church and the world, officially set aside the

essential principle of celestial marriage. (he +riesthood recei&ed

that higher law bac' to itself and has perpetuated it unbe'nown to

the eyes of the world nfortunately for the church members. these re&ersalscontinued. (hough it had not frustrated the plan of God, is true

ser&ants, or the wor' of this dispensation it has, howe&er,

effecti&ely ser&ed to dar'en the minds of those saints who insist on

ha&ing the gospel their own way and anchor their faith in the arm

of their church leaders. (he law of consecration was soon replaced

with a lesser law. (he dam%God doctrine became an

embarrassment. (he purpose and design of the oly +riesthood

garment has been mutilated. (he true prophets and apostles went

into hiding as the compromising presidents and general authoritiestoo' their place. (he re&elations ha&e stayed with the prophets,

gi&ing way for the official declarations that ha&e no resemblance

or relationship with the word of God. (he gathering of srael has

been nullified, and unsanctioned temples ha&e been built around

the world outside the borders of ?ion. @isions, miracles, signs and

wonders began disappearing and many doctrinal and organi*ational

changes too numerous to mention, gradually came in. s theChurch ga&e up each principle, its light unto the world flic'ered a

little and faded, but soon the members got their eyes used to the

dimmer setting and consoled themsel&es with the increased

friendship with the world. s time passed, the members forgot all

about any brighter light and became ripe to concede some other

principle. (he spiritual desert that had blossomed as a rose was

fading just as saiah had prophesied.

7ore'nowing the apostate course the $.D.S. Church would

choose, the $ord 'ept is true ser&ants out of the lime%light untilthe 6times of the gentiles6 were fulfilled. (hat time is now past.

(he final call to all the contrite in spirit is now going forth. #esus

Christ is calling is people to gather in the remnant of #acob, to

prepare the way for the coming of the $ord.

(he 6Branch6 of the $ord-s house has been organi*ed as

abundantly prophesied, new apostles ha&e been called, 6menwondered at,6 ha&ing been tutored and prepared by the

administering of angels though wea' in church establishment

credentials. (hin' not that you can procrastinate the day of your

awa'ening and obedience. umble yourself8 consider the

possibility of these things8 e)amine the following claims with a

prayerful heart and you will come to 'now their truthfulness by the

power of the oly Ghost5

= By way of commandment and re&elation the prophet #ohn

here in merica and in #erusalem has commenced in preparation

for the cleansing of the earth which is to come.

D= (he fullness of the gospel8 including the higher principlesas contained in the Boo' of Mormon, the Doctrine and Co&enants,

and as restored and taught by the +rophet #oseph Smith are fully

a&ailable to all saints who desire eternal progression earnestly

enough to want to li&e by e&ery word which has proceeded forth

from the mouth of God.

9= (he gifts of the oly Spirit are present8 miracles, signs, andwonders, to them that belie&e. God re&eals imself to is prophet.

"ou can read the re&elations for yourself and through the grace of

God and by means of the >rim and (hummim, the faithful will

shortly be able to read more ancient and sacred scripture as

promised.

7= (he branch of Christ-s Church is organi*ed with the+rophet and postles and is acti&ely fulfilling its mission as

foretold8 and is ma'ing a&ailable to the saints, all the principles

and ordinances of the fullness of the gospel of Christ8 and is

directed by the oly Spirit in all functions.

G= (here is ample scriptural and historical e&idence for anyone

who does not fear, and is prompted by the oly Ghost to study

these claims. f you are not afraid to learn that these things are true,

you can most assuredly 'now, by the power of the oly Ghost that

these things are true. God will manifest it to you if you will study

and as' with a bro'en heart and contrite spirit

We need not ma'e e)cuses for these claims or 4ualify them.

(hey will be completely &erified to you whether in life or on the

other side of the &eil8 to your eternal condemnation or to youreternal glory. (he truth will triumph o&er error. +lace your faith in

God, open your mind, belie&e that God will tell you the truth of all

things which you ha&e made yourself worthy to 'now.
