Walgreens Energy Owner Walgreens General Contractor FSG Energy Contract Amount $4,200,000 Contract Type Enterprise Energy Management Location Chicago, IL Walgreens desired to operate all of its 6,000+ stores across the US and Puerto Rico in an enterprise that would allow it to view any site from their headquarters and if needed make changes to operations to improve energy efficiency. They also wanted standardized reporting, scheduling, and a better way to manage operations. They were looking for a solution that they could scale and add on new technologies that would be developed in the coming years. FSG Energy competed against many national companies and was selected as a finalist (one of two) to work with Walgreen’s owner representative, Prenova. One of the first projects after our test sites to be done will be the Walgreens at Times Square in Manhattan, New York. The top of the 23 story building is used to drop the ball on New Years each year in New York.
