Chuck Murphy

First off, I have to say, my Lord and Savior is so faithful to us, His Chil-dren through everything. (Hebrews 10:23) God has proved this to me time and time again.

My Mother was Native American, and my Dad was Catholic, because of this, Theology and Religion was no stranger to me. This is what I was taught, a combination of both of these until I was 12. Then my parents changed to a non denominational Pentecostal Church. My sister got pregnant, and the Pastor made my sister stand up in front and repent, “Saying that she sinned against the Church“, he than cast my sister out of church. This devastated me; I could not believe that God had allowed this to happen, so I ran from God.

I ran to the Air Force, stationed in England. I made the Air Force my God. I met a young British lady, named Valerie. We got married and started raising 11 children. At work one day, I received a phone call, telling me to get home right now. Upon arriving at home, I was greeted with the Fire Department and the Bobbies (Police). My house was fully in flame. I looked around and saw my 8 daughters huddling with the Lady next door. I realized that my wife and 3 sons were still inside. I lost all 4. I could not understand why God was letting this happen to me. All 8 of my daughters have nothing to do with me to this day, so I ran from God.

I got out of the Air Force. Through another Relationship my Daughter Mickey, and Son Richard were born. My Children were taken away from me. I could not understand why God was letting this happen to me, so I ran from God.

I was alone. Through the internet I met a fantastic, wonderful, and full of life and energy Lady named Mona. We courted and Pastor Daley married us on July 15th, 2006. My Lord just gave me a Christian wife. The Relationship was restored between us and my Son, Richard. July 12th, 2011 a Deputy Sheriff came to my home and told me my Son was found in a car accident, he did not survive. I’m thinking God, why are you doing this to me? I don’t know how much more I can take.

If it was not for my Wife, I know that I would not be here today. I thank God everyday for my Wife. A few months later God started using two people in my life, Randy and Cheryl. Through them, God brought me and my wife back to Church. On Feb 19th , 2012 I was led by the Holy Spirit, to go up front and re-dedicate my Life back to Christ. I knew God had a lot to clean up in my life, but, I surrendered all to Him, Jesus Christ.

Tuesday, Feb. 21st, 2012, Christ delivered me from Cigarettes. I was on my way to a county meeting. I was listening to a Keith O’Neal CD. He was singing, “Closer Walk with Thee”. God said to me, “Chuck if you want this, throw that cigarette out the window right now.” So I did, and God delivered me right then and there. I have not had one cigarette since then. Praise God!! There has been many trials, But my God, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has brought me through them, and He will continue to do so! This I know! I stand on Ro-mans 8:28. This verse is my straight, and my promise from God.
