Hymn
Katelisas to Stavro Su ton thanaton, ineoxas to listi ton parathison, ton Miroforon ton thrinon
metevales, ke tis sis Apostolis kirittin epetaxas, oti anestis Christe o Theos, parehon to kosmo to mega
eleos.
O Lord by Your sacred Cross You abolished death, and granted unto the thief blessed paradise.
The Myrrh bearers ceased lamenting and turned to joy. The apostles did preach the Good News at
Your command, that You had risen from the dead O Christ Our God, bestowing mercy upon the
world evermore.
Hymn for St. Stephen
The crown of the Kingdom hath adorned the brow of thy head because of the contests that thou
hast endured for Christ God, thou first of the martyred Saints; for when thou hadst censured the
Jews’ madness, thou saw Christ thy Savior standing at the right hand of the Father. Oh Stephen, ev-
er pray Him, for us, that He would save our souls.
Hymn of Transf igurat ion
Metemorfothis en to ori, Christe o Theos, dixas tis mathites Sou tin doxan Sou, kathos idynando
Lampson ke imin tis amartolis to fos Sou to aidion, presvies tis Theotokou Fotodota doxa Si.
When O Christ our God Thou wast Transfigured on the mountain Thou didst reveal Thy glory to
Thy disciples in proportion as they could bear it. Let Thine everlasting light also enlighten us sin-
ners. Through the intercessions of the Theotokos, O Thou Bestower of light, glory to Thee
Kontakion
On the mount Thou wast transfigured, and Thy disciples, as much as they could bear, beheld
Thy glory, O Christ our God; that when they should see Thee crucified, they would know Thy Passion
to be willing, and would preach to the world that Thou, in truth, art the Effulgence of the Father.

St. Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians 1:10-17
Prokeimenon. Grave Mode.
Psalm 28.11,1
The Lord will give strength to his people.
Verse: Bring to the Lord, O sons of God,
bring to the Lord honor and glory.
The reading is from St. Paul's First Letter
to the Corinthians 1:10-17
B rethren, I appeal to you by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree and that there be no dissen-
sions among you, but that you be united
in the same mind and the same judg-
ment. For it has been reported to me by
Chloe's people that there is quarreling
among you, my brethren. What I mean is
that each one of you says, "I belong to
Paul," or "I belong to Apollos," or "I be-
long to Cephas," or "I belong to Christ." Is
Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for
you? Or were you baptized in the name of
Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of
you except Crispos and Gaius; lest any
one should say that you were baptized in
my name. (I did baptize also the house-
hold of Stephanas. Beyond that, I do not
know whether I baptized any one else.)
For Christ did not send me to baptize but
to preach the gospel, and not with elo-
quent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be
emptied of its power.

The Gospel According to Matthew 14:14-22
A t that time, Jesus saw a great throng; and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick. When it was evening, the disciples
came to him and said, "This is a lonely place,
and the day is now over; send the crowds away
to go into the villages and buy food for them-
selves." Jesus said, "They need not go away; you
give them something to eat." They said to him,
"We have only five loaves here and two fish."
And he said, "Bring them here to me." Then he
ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass;
and taking the five loaves and the two fish he
looked up to heaven, and blessed, and broke
and gave the loaves to the crowds. And they all
ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve
baskets full of the broken pieces left over. And
those who ate were about five thousand men,
besides women and children. Then he made the
disciples get into the boat and go before him to
the other side, while he dismissed the crowds.

Covid –19 Prayer O God Almighty, Lord of heaven and earth, and of all creation visible and invisible, in Your ineffable goodness, look
down upon Your people gathered in Your Holy Name. Be our helper and defender in this day of affliction. You know our
weakness. You hear our cry in repentance and contrition of heart. O Lord who loves mankind deliver us from the im-
pending threat of the corona virus. Send Your Angel to watch over us and protect us. Grant health and recovery to those
suffering from this virus. Guide the hands of all medical personnel, and preserve those who are healthy that we may con-
tinue to serve You in peace and glorify Your most honorable and majestic Name, of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, now and forever and to the ages of ages. AMEN.

Pr ay e r f o r C at e c h u m e n O Lord our God, who dwellest on high and regardest the humble, who has sent forth as the salvation of the
race of men Thine only-begotten Son and God, our Lord Jesus Christ: Look down upon Thy servants the
Catechumens, who have bowed their necks before Thee; make them worthy in due season of the laver of
regeneration, the forgiveness of sins and the robe of incorruption. Unite them to Thy holy, catholic and
apostolic Church, and number them with Thine elect flock: That with us they may glorify Thine all-
honorable and majestic name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and
unto ages of ages. Rachael Adamson, Hunter Anderson, Jack Borah, Eric Madden, Anna Madden, Jill Schroeder
