Algebra I: Single Block VS. Double Block
• 45 minutes of math each day
• Time enough for the lesson and a few practice problems
• Fast paced, not much class time to practice new concepts
• Organization and time on task is important!
• 90 minutes of math each day
• More time with your teacher to practice new concepts
• More time with your teacher to review problems
• More time in your day to focus on math
• Some time at the end of each class to look at homework
Algebra I Single-Blocked
•To remain in Single Blocked Algebra, students will be expected to:•Complete 90% of all homework on
time•Pass each quiz, text or exam with a
75% or higher on the first attempt•Maintain an 80 or higher class
average

•All students are required to earn 2 semesters (1 year) of a PE credit while at WSMS.
