The groom wore his U.S. Marine Corp uniform. Her bridemaids wore different dresses of horizon and Malibu blues with an accent of kelly green. The matron of honor was Lisa Bennetts, the sister of the bride and the bridesmaids were Johanna Bennetts, sister-in-law of the bride, Kelsey Bernath, cousin of the bride, Candace Alatassi, Sherry Alatassi, Holly Beckman and Karlee Mc- Claren, cousin of the bride. The at- tendants were Shanae Calkins, Kate Hambleton, Becky Hoover, cousin of the bride, Melissa Murray and Gina Fischer, cousin of the bride. Annika Linin played “Waltz” on the piano for music appreciation. Jade Artzer gave a demonstration on “How to make cherry limeade.” Caleb Dechant gave a project talk on “Ten things I need for the dog show.” Josie Hill led the group in playing “Simon Says.”

The meeting was adjourned by saying the Club Motto. Our next meeting will be on Sunday, April 1. Refreshments were provided by the Keim and Eslinger families.

Public televisionprepares for auction

BUNKER HILL - Smoky Hills Public Television’s longest run-ning and largest fundraiser – the Signature Auction – is scheduled for live broadcast from 6 to 9 p.m. (Mountain Time) on Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22.

The 100 art pieces have been donated from artists across the state and feature fine art including paint-ings, photography, jewelry, sculp-tures and more. These art pieces are now available for viewing on the station’s website, www.smoky-hillstv.org.

“We are very grateful for the artists who donated their works of art to Smoky Hills. Each year we are in awe of the artist talent and impressed by the variety of pieces that we receive,” said SHPTV Special Events Coordinator, Tricia Flax. “The Signature Auction is

Smoky Hills Public Television’s most popular fundraising event. I encourage everyone to participate and help make the 2012 Signature Auction a success.”

Viewers can vote for their favorite piece of art and the artist will receive the “People’s Choice Award.” Votes can be submitted by email to [email protected] or by mail to Box 9, Bunker Hill KS, 67626.
