Honestly, we remain wowed and feel fortunate to have found you, after driving by you for, well, let's say a few years, and thinking, "That looks like an interesting place--we should try it." The battery is what powers every electrical component in a car. At some point, the car battery needs to be re-placed, but when? Is there a way to tell that the battery is failing? How long does it last?
How long can it last? An average car battery lasts from 4 to 7 years. If the vehicle is parked for extended periods of time without starting, the battery will need to be replaced sooner. The battery lasts longer when it’s kept fully charged, although overcharging can also damage it. Therefore, problems with your vehicle’s charging system can also cause the battery to fail prem-aturely.
Is there a way to tell that the bat-tery is failing? Not always, but there are some telltale signs. When the bat-tery is failing, it can hold less charge than when it was new. If your battery has low capacity you may notice when you are starting the car, the engine turns over slower than before, even if the battery is fully charged. It sounds like the vehicle is “lazy” and not as eager to turn over. You may also notice that the interior lights icker and go dimmer than usual when you are start-ing the vehicle.
Is there a way to test the battery condition? Yes, we can test your bat-tery with a battery tester. Our testers not only can tell the state of the battery, but can also test the charging and
Back To The Basics
starting system. Usually the test will show if the battery needs to be charged or replaced. A bat-tery also needs to be replaced if it is leaking or has a mechanical damage.
Does the battery need any maintenance? Most batteries are maintenance-free. Typically, the battery is checked visually dur-ing your regular oil changes. We may recommend servicing your battery terminals if there is some corrosion at the terminals, which is not uncommon.
Does the red battery warn-ing light on the dash mean the battery is bad? The red warning icon on the dash depicting a battery indicates a problem with your vehicle’s charging system. If it comes on while driving, it means that your battery is not charging. The battery may still be okay, but the charging sys-tem needs to be tested. The main component of the charg-ing system is the alternator.
We’re here to help so just give us a call or stop on by! We’d love to see you!

Blooming Onion Ingredients 1 large yellow onion ½ cup almond flour 2 tsp paprika ½ tsp cayenne pepper ¼ tsp black pepper 1 tsp garlic powder ½ tsp dried oregano ½ tsp dried thyme ¼ tsp salt 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 tbsp olive oil Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. 2. Cut off the top about 1/2 inch of the onion and peel. Place the on-ion cut-side down on a
cutting board. Starting 1/8 inch from the root, cut the onion into 12-16 vertical wedges. Turn the onion over and use your fingers to gently separate the onion pet-als. 3. In a small bowl com-bine the almond flour, paprika, cayenne pep-per, garlic powder, ore-gano, thyme, black pep-per and salt. 4. Dip the onion in beaten eggs and turn it over to make sure every part of the onion is cov-ered. 5. Take it out, and coat with almond mixture.
Make sure all the layers are covered. 6. Place the onion on prepared baking sheet, brush with olive oil and cover with aluminum foil. 7. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for 5-10 minutes more or until the onion is tender and the edges are browned. Serve with homemade paleo ranch dressing.
