    Apprenticeships, and Internships (JTEST-A1)

    DoDI 1322.29 (Jan 2014) Job Training, Employment Skills Training, Apprenticeships, and Internships (JTEST-

    AI) for Eligible Service Members

    Open to all Service Members

    Service members who extend their enlistments must terminate enrollment immediately

    JBSA Transition Centers will maintain an inventory of the various JTEST-A1 providers

    Adopting Army Directive 2015-12 {Implementation Guidance for Credentialing Program and Career Skills

    Program)

    Program offers skills training opportunities to Service members preparing to transition from military to civilian

    employment. As such, CSP activities fall under the umbrellas of training and transition, and should not be

    misconstrued as education programs.

    Participation is self-initiated

    Must be within 180 days of separation

    Conditioned on high probability of post service employment with any employer once

    they complete the program

    The provider must offer enrollment at no or minimal cost to the Service members

    Reviewed and authorized by the first field grade commander with UCMJ authority

    cannot be delegated

    Approval authority determines if the candidate would benefit from the training

    Unit commander must assess if they can lose the manpower for the duration of the

    program since backfills for the trainee not authorized as a result of enrollment in the

    program
