Crews are replacing an old six-inch water line along the east side of 500 East, between 1700 South and Blaine Avenue. The new underground line will be 12 inches in diameter to improve reliability in water service. Over the next two weeks, expect crews to trench in front of residences as they work on this task, which will follow the southbound direction towards 2100 South. Crews will provide neighbors prior notice before access to driveways is temporarily restricted. This task is scheduled to be completed by mid-June. 500 East is open to southbound local traffic only. Drivers are encouraged to use 300 East and 700 East. Travelers in the area are advised to follow instructions from signs, flaggers and equipment operators. Utah Transit Authority rerouted their buses along 400 East until construction is complete. Please visit https://www.rideuta.com/Rider-Info/Detours for more information.
